Windows 10 - Tips and Tweaks

    dont know if this is any use. but you can go from a 32 bit win 7/8 to a 64 bit 10 but only after you install and activate the upgrade which licenses your machine.

    then if you can get hold of a 64 bit ISO media you can boot from it and install that over the top and remove the old windows using disk cleaner. just skip any part where it asks for a key and it will activate once all installed, but only if your machine has activated before on the 32 bit version.

    Change "Open File Explorer to:" to whatever you want and uncheck the settings below.

    To uninstall, goto start > all programs > Start Apps > Right click an app :> uninstall

    Disabling driver updates for Windows 10 Home users:

    Right click on start button then select system

    Click on Advanced system settings

    then Hardware tab

    then Device Installation Settings and change to No etc.

    Doesn't work, it's a legacy setting from previous windows versions, has no effect on 10

    So like XP version of disabling automatic updates, in the similar way, it doesn't work.....Hmmm.... How to do it in 10 Home properly?

    haha, nah, she's always out and about during the day, so I get to play

    And when she comes home, I get to play :D

    Watch out man, don't neglect your "duties" about her because of 150 post/day on G3D, otherwise you're it's gonna be a "hand job" if she left you :D

    found this little guide how to do a clean install like said under "Activating a clean install" on first page. BUT without messing with usb. Fiew easy steps inside windows itself.
