the cores need to be seperated.. dual core CPU's vs Single core CPU's

3dmark06 is optimized obviously for dual core when I know the single core will perform just the same in 90% of games.

im not sure if hwbot has the option of making a different list for dual and single core cpu's.

exactly phrozin. The 05 run on the other thread was a 2.94ghz, so i'll run that on 06 too. Also, im pretty soft on these cards atm. They will go higher definately, and this is on my crucial, which is'nt the fastest memory compared with UTT 1gb sets... im itching for my VX to arrive! LOL. 11k is definately doable. These cards are amazingly fast clock for clock. Man... i need to invest in a vapo lol ;)

Yep, well, the switch certainly has been worth it. Its had its trials, but hey... thats the fun part ;) Really pleased i switched. IMO atm once u get it working this is the best DFI board yet. Some ppl my disagree with me on that... but once u get it ticking over nicely, nothing beats it! The latest official BIOS is nice and solid too, and i expect to get better results with future bios's once people starting putting em out. Very nice board, and something AM2 is gonna have its work cut out to better.

yeh I am going with the dfi mike you can take that to the bank me vapo is under repair so that going ok only a week to go, am2 I think I will wait a bit dd2 doesn’t set me on fire but intel are on there way back no doubt about it. I was only talking to the misses today about going for a fx-60 as well but not real sure it is worth it, fx's if I am going to spend that sort of cash on a cpu it better last more than 5 min's but this 4800 has been a very good cpu indeed never let me down and its had a hiding!

Yup, ive been tempted by the 60 aswell, if it were £150 cheaper i'd jump on one i think, just £720 grates on me for a CPU. Even my 55 *only* cost £500 and thats when it was at the top of the pile. Seems AMD are adding more of a premium on their top end chips these days.
