I know from testing reviews the seasonic X850 golds are listed as 850 but in testing was capable of 1k stable.. 1 of the reasons I bought mine.

That's not too bad. Up to you if you really want plat that's a decent deal. You can save £30 if you go gold though.

Yo guys I got a question, don't mean to derail the thread here though but, there's a 3930k for sale at 300€ (if I sorta "preorder" it, as I can only pay the dude next month) .. now.. the thing is, I can sell my old 3570k, would get like 150-180€ for it.. so

A 3930k for approx 130 more euros - is it worth it?

That means I gotta buy a 2011 board too, for 180€ .. I'd sell my old board for 80-90€ then...

So.. all in all a ~230 euro upgrade.

(lol I just checked, otherwise the cpu costs 490 € o,O)

I'd rather have another 7950 in that rig tbh

You think? Hmm yeah.. alright, the question is just how much it's worth it, you know. That 230€ thing.

I guess if I do it I wouldn't have to upgrade for a loooong time..

But yeah another 7950 would also be good.. so the question is,

    anoher 7950 (~200 €)

    or upgrade to 3930k + lga 2011 (~230€ if I sell my current cpu+mobo)

both would cost about the same.

You're not going to get bottlenecked from that CPU on a single 7950 anytime soon unless you lower details to push 120FPS at which point the i5 OC is VERY capable.

    Not to derail further but...

I'd also go with another 7950, you're already at 4.5GHz, spending more for less performance doesn't sound right.

Hmm nah it's alright man, I got it already <3 thanks. :D

K I think I'll be gettin a 2nd 7950 then, as others said yeah.. pretty pointless going for more cpu perfmance. + this 3570k is already running at 4.5ghz (or 4.4) so.. I dunno.

But yeah damn 7900 series prices going up wtf o,O

Jeez AMD sure got their money's worth out of Tahiti. Seems to be rivaling the G80/G92 in terms of useful life.....

Indeed. That generation lasted for ages. With the rebadging it's pretty much a sure bet for AMD.

Grabbed a AX 860 PSU, there was a deal on while I was buying some other bits for my staff members PC. Gave him my HX 750, happy days.

I nearly pushed the button on the Evga 1000w G2 but it didn't have the hybrid fan... where the fan cuts in only after a certain % of usage.
