I thought that was just me lol. Sometimes with long paragraphs I'll lose track and end up reading the same sentence twice. This article made me so confused I kept thinking I was messing up so I would start over until I realized it was not me. It was the article repeating it self.

I've actually seen this exact same kind of copy/paste fails in other articles as well. It's strange.

Ok, here's what got updated and why today:

In a nutshell, run Windows Update and uninstall Adobe Shockwave (who even still uses that)

why dont they talk about ALL the releases.

I turned my system on just now it shows 16 updates

    4 net framework security updates

    1 cumulative security update

    3 security updates

7 updates bringing compatibility and other fixes

    1 Malicious software removal tool

Every time I read the articles, they never state all the updates and what they do. so my curiosity kills me and I have to click each update to go to the kb site to see what that update does.

Im just saying because sometimes. not enough information is giving before release and things get broken and then people have to figure out what update broke it.

edit: I missed the description on one of the updates and now I have a skydrive icon on my tasktray.:bang:

I had 18 updates for Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit plus one optional one. I agree with dsbig that it is annoying that you cannot easily see what these updates are for without tediously clicking on each one to open up a KB page in Internet Explorer. A brief description of what the update does would be really handy IMO, and without having to read it from an external source too!

I get where he's coming from though- I've had updates that just didn't want to go before. Then you have to mess around with fixes. Though personally, most updates go ok with me.

I had no less than 20 updates for Windows 7 most of which were updates for Office 2010 and security updates for .NET Framework. There was also an optional update to fix an issue with remote control.

And then today (the day after patch Tuesday) I received another update to fix a broken optional update patch released on patch Tuesday.
