    WOW! A creative bios. weeeeeeeee :)
    Ive been looking for one of these for ages!

    Dr.InfernO, what scores are you getting with your 3D Blaster in 3Dmark03? And what are the default freqs of these creative bioses and how far are you able to push it?

    Thanks

    Thanks again

    Without the BIOS modification i could only push the BIOS to ca. 490Core/760Memory.
    After the mod i was able to push it up to 490core/813mem!
    My 3DMark03 score has been increased about 500Points!
    The default clock of the new BIOS is:

    2D Core ----> 300Mhz
    3D Core ----> 480Mhz
    2D/3D Memory -----> 800Mhz

    Thats a fair whack on the clock speeds! I havent tried o/c'ing the card yet, guru3d got it up to around 440 core and 760 mem. U sure this is ok to flash? Wont turn my card into a doorstop!? lol. Oh, and i know all about that 'flashing is done at your own risk' :)
    Cheers

    1 more question, do you have any extra cooling on your card? And what is you idle case temp and temp after load?

    Thanks a lot mate

    no those BIOSes are thought for stock cooling!

    Dr. would you also happen to know how to increase the core voltage? I believe the 5900s use 1.4v and the 5950s 1.6v

    How to make it 1.8 via the BIOS?

    I got a GF FX5700 with 256 MB DDR I. Has anyone of you tried to modify the bios like you did with the 5900xt's bios? Can you offer some guidelines for it?

    Thanks in advance!

    Sorry I only know how to change the latency! For the voltage ask jimmor! He is the head of BIOS editing, not me!

    Pls humor me, what program/editor are you using to edit the bios

    And can you brk it down alittle more as to the latency change, i.e
    system memory is say 7-3-3-2.5 or 7-4-4-2.0

    you have posted 07030F43 changed to 07030F03

    What are you changing? and what are you changing it to?

    Hope you get what I'm asking
    :D

    If you don't know what kind of mem you got simply look on your Card! if there stands Samsung or HY (Hynx) it's logical!
    Yes, you will be able to use your XT with AGP 8x.

    You all should try to read the earlier posts I've made in this thread! I don't wanna repeat everything I've said!

    Sorry I've no experience with moding any kind of FX5700 BIOS! (jimmor???)

    As first, I'm useing a simple HEX-Editor (HDD).
    I'm setting the Latency to a HIGHER value, so the Latency becomes more "relaxing"!
    The relaxing Latency allows higher Memory Frequency.
    The first thing I thought was, that the latency will slow down the Performance, memory access!
    But we regonized that the higher latency AND higher frequency values will let us get a better overall performance!

    Now we are Testing a Voltage mod... i hope we will get this working correctly!
    But don't forget, jimmor is the super-biosmod-brain, not me!

    (Sorry for my bad english)

    i think you both are doing just fine!!!

    but i have to say that my Aopen XT card also just workd fine with the creative bios too!! so i didnt see those problems with the hynx and the samsung memory!

    hey jimmor! how about the volt modded bios! how far are you?

    greetz :D

    looking at minor problem !!

    It is easy to change core volts on 5900nu and 5900u because they are essentialy same as 5950 as far as bios function is concerned!!

    The XT unfortunately is enough different to make it more difficult to make and try changes when I dont have a XT to work on.???

    I flashed my 5900nu with a XT bios to try and use it to test changes, unfortunately my 5900nu doesn't like XT bios's, so no help there.??

    I will soon pass a volts modified XT bios to you for testing, but only after I am as satisfied with it as I can be considering my isolation from XT hardware. My volts changes will therefore inevitably include certain XT functional assumptions on my part ??

    I really wanna help out!
    But my problem is:
    1. Where i should hold on the Volt/multimeter ?
    2. The Voltmeter I've got, is too "unsensible" it wouldn't regonize such low voltages!
    But if i can Test something, I'm on it! ;)

    Even, if you are not really satsfied/unsure with your BIOS, i will test it @my own risk! so just send it to me! :)

    bye the way, jimmor your PM box is full!
