If anyone is interested in the Paper Trail DLC, here's a good walk through for it. I didn't really care for the IGN guide that I just read. http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/inFAMOUS/GUIDE-InFAMOUS-Paper-Trail/td-p/43219252
Just finished the main story with good karma. Augustine was a bitch. Now I need to start over with evil karma.
I was seriously about ready to break one of my DS4's in the final boss battle it was that intense I don't know if I want to even a temp the game at its hardest difficulty.
GOTY so far. I think The Last of Us will better it for me personally, Infamous lacked in the story department, this is where The Last of Us will shine.
I thought the story was competent and didn't try to be anything over the top. The dialog and voice acting in this game was stellar.
I finished the game on the Good Karma path the week before last and really enjoyed the game overall. It's a good showcase for the PS4 in terms of visuals (it is arguably the best-looking console game released to date) and the story and characters were great. However, the side quests are unimaginative and get very samey and repetitive very quickly leaving only the relatively short campaign to do. It's good while it lasts but it needed more substance IMO in terms of sandbox stuff to do outside of the game. The game does suggest I try the Evil Karma path but I just cannot bring myself to play the game that way (I'm the kind of person who apologises out loud to NPCs that I accidentally harm while playing!!!). I also detested the final boss fight as it was just not fun to play at all and the framerate was extremely iffy during this section, what with all the particle effects and stuff. P.S. Does the 30 FPS lock save for anyone else? Everytime I load the game I have to go into the options and re-enable the 30 FPS lock.
I haven't tried the 30 FPS lock myself. I do agree with you about the extremely annoying end boss battle. But then again end bosses are never meant to be fun. The game can become repetitive quite quickly, which is why I took my time reaching 100%. Clearing each zone soon becomes more of a chore than enjoyment. I had no interest in playing again once I had cleared everything.
Yes, I need to go back to clear the zones too for a 100% completion ratio. However, one of my gripes about the game is that no matter how many powers Deslin gains he never feels truly powerful (I guess some might consider that a good thing) so those zone fights are always challenging as enemies can gun him down in seconds regardless. It's odd really because in the first two games there was definitely a sense that you were more powerful but in Second Son not so much. Enemies seem to level up with Deslin.
Weird, I thought the game was really easy, on normal. Two boss fights took a few attempts, but only to work out the mechanics, they really are easy when you know the fight. Completed the game with 90% ish, will go back to 100% it.
