What happens if you buy four GeForce Titans and overclock all of them simultaneously, using water cooling along with a 5.1Ghz+ i7-3960X??

    HardForum user Vega just achieved:
3DMark11 benchmark result of 33189 for a true 24/7 gaming system!
It appears this is #3 worldwide, but the higher two scores are liquid-nitrogen cooled, and he says this system runs 24/7 at these specs -- one of the world's fastest true gaming rigs!

FOUR Titans... THREE 120Hz LightBoost stroboscopic-backlight monitors (for zero motion blur) in SURROUND...
Capable of Crysis 3 at 120fps@120Hz in 3-monitor surround.
The computer's radiator is the size of a small air conditione....It's bigger than the computer itself!

Vega's thread about his quad GeForce titans and tests:
    - HardForum THREAD: Vega's Perfect Motion Clarity 2D Lightboost Titan Portrait Surround Gloss Build
(Formerly three titans, now expanded to four Titans in page 6 of this thread)

    Blur Busters blog entry:
    - Overclocked Quad Titan SLI on Three 120Hz Monitors

    Scales well too!
    - YouTube video of Crysis 3 pushing all four GPU's 80-90%..... to an astounding 100-160fps @ ultra settings @ 3340x1920 (darn near 4K!)

    Now even I'm jealous!

Good lord that's terrifying. I like it. :)

It's just a mass of raw computing power hovering above a radiator.

    Also jealous.

I'm wondering how mouch this guy is spending on electricity bills per month. But I guess that someone rich enough to buy and build something like this doesn't have to worry about money and bills... Also guessing this guy is still singe, I'm 100% sure in that...

btw rig it's impressive, I must show pictures of it to my wife: "...woman, I'm thinking..." ...but when I think better it's not a good idea, she would kill me for sure :rpg:

Interesting to all four cards stressed to 95+%, that's very impressive scaling. And I thought SLI usually nearly doesn't scale at all anymore after tri-SLI. Now where's my winning lottery ticket again ?

what resolution do you end up with when using 3 portrait monitors like that?

Just came here to say I'm jelous. Nevertheless great results even though it's an overkill.

Two are more than enough. :)

There is no such thing as waste when it's something you love and enjoy.

Crysis 3 at max in 3d at 120hz/fps.

Also he does make a decent amount from other threads I've read and he does work a good job. He does this as a hobby and whatever he spends on it is up to him and is his business. Who are we to say he's wasting money etc...

It would scale like crap, probably, not to mention the CPU limitation on that engine, hehe

The CryEngine 3 is really great. I don't think you can get this scaling with many other engines.

I'd go with 3 16:10 monitors though. That would be a 3600x1920 res.
