Yeah thats what i would do, Alot cheaper in the USA than over here. There so cheap i would actually consider picking two up if i was going over there. If it is 750 that puts it as the same price with the 690 if the performance is correct. So i cant see it being this price, i reckon in between a 680 and 690.

It won't be a huge amount cheaper, as US prices never include tax and UK prices always show it with and without. An example would be the EVGA GTX690 which from a shop there is $1050 plus around 9% tax so $1144 which is £730, while here its £800. Certainly cheaper, but not enough that i would buy two and i'm not sure if their online price is cheaper than the in-store price. The main reason is just that it will be easier to justify to the other half when we are there, since we will both be shopping The pre-order from Australia looks dodgy specs wise, crazy expensive for Australians though as their dollar was stronger then USD last time i checked.
I remember when i bought my 690 i paid $1400 at the time as i posted on OC.net which was £900 at the time, well i actually bought 2 of them but sent one back. People in the US were paying $1000 from places like Newegg and other US outlets so the $400 difference is quite abit. We pay more than what you have worked out, We get taxed much more due to VAT being 20% and import taxes. I remember i worked this out before using a calculator and some research regarding what we pay on Electrical Imports but tbh i cant be arsed to do that now. All i know is that we pay quite abit more maybe not enough to warrant a second card but if your gonna get 2 cards then thats the best time too.
The prices i worked out are for the cheapest 690 here on Scan which is £760($1200) inc tax, compared to the cheapest GTX690 on Newegg which is £690 ($1090) inc tax at NY rates. Course if you paid £900 then you paid alot more, but i can only go on today's prices. It's certainly worth my while since i will be over there, but the thing i realised about my few trips to the US is that the price you see is not the price you pay at the till, which is why people think the difference is larger, it also makes shopping quite confusing compared to here in the UK. Wouldn't get two cards myself though, not until i'm guaranteed at least 90% scaling in 100% of games.
Prices at some retailers are going up quite a bit for those buying with credit cards due to a recent court ruling. Now retailers are allowed to charge customers the credit card processing fees on top of the sales tax. The new equation looks like this: (cost+tax)+CC fee = final price. This will only affect purchases made with credits cards though....we're still not being forced to pay for the cheque processing fee yet....but I see that coming next.
Ah, at the moment large shops here are absorbing that fee, and small ones will too as long as you spend more than £5. What would be the standard CC fee, don't imagine it's much more than a couple of dollars. I would likely be paying with a debit card as not a fan of using a credit card for luxury stuff, but i noticed when i was over last year that my Visa debit card would be declined if i put i tried to put it through as a debit card, checkout girl said that international debit cards need to be put through as a credit card.
The fee varies by CC company and can be as high as 5.5%....or as low as 2.5%. At 5.5%....a $650 graphics card would cost $747.47 at the register.....at 2.5% it would cost $726.21 at the register. $650 + 9% tax (58.50) = $708.50 + 5.5% CC fee ($38.97) = $747.47 <---that's the equation figuring in 9% sales tax and 5.5% CC processing fee. Keep in mind that since most debit cards in the US are handled by the major CC companies (Visa, MC, AMX)....we'll be subject to this same CC processing fee even though we're spending our own money, because the CC company is still processing the charge....
Jeez that high?? So say for arguments sake this Titan card is the same price as a GTX690 and from what i can see the average store price is around $1050, which would 1144.50 after sales tax and potentially as high as $1207.44 after the CC fee, which is £764.11 and around the same price as over here:wanker: Could pay in cash but ATM charges would then apply, ah well got 6 months to work this out so thanks for letting me know. Yeah it sucks, around £750 for a single gpu, nvidia should have skipped the 600 series and went straight to gk110, they could haVE GOT AWAY WITH IT IF THEY GAVE THE 580S MORE VRAM. sry for caps.

Amirite? Further, in-between testing the titan your playing the retail version of crysis 3 campaign on it, yes?
