Some of my favourites, and space sci-fi is a dying gender, are: Serenity The Chronicles of Riddick Star Trek (2009) ...
Saw Drive a few days back. Best movie i've seen in ages. Cars and 80's style synth music do well together. Also, Kavinsky!
Just watch Apollo 13 again, great film, really good, enjoyed it a lot. 500 days of summer is one I need to watch, started it with friends once but I had to leave so never saw much.
Mission Impossible 4 8/10. That sequence in Dubai is spectacular. kinda lingers a bit towards the end but still worth it nevertheless. and Paula Patton is crazy HOT !!!
A sequel being a cash cow, surely that is the definition of a sequel. Don't think it's meant to be a plot heavy film anyway, things like story got killed off in this series with the awful second movie, so as long there is as little CGI as possible, decent locations and Tom Cruise doing his own stunts i'm sure it will be watchable, hope so as i have IMAX tickets booked for Sunday lol. You want know about a bad movie. What's Your Number - 2011 - 4/10 Only watched this as i was on a plane, had seen everything else, and wanted something light hearted since i'm not a great flyer. Well this was not entertaining, not cute, not funny and i don't even think it even tries that hard. Gave up with about 10-15mins to go as i just didn't care what happened, the only reason it gets a 4 is because Anna Faris runs about in her underwear a fair amount of time.
So has anyone seen this yet? I watched it last night and I must say its the only movie I have ever had to turn off. This was the most disgusting and disturbing movie I have ever seen. I didn't even get to the part where he starting making the centipede.
Really good film. Well worth the watch but do not watch the dubbed version. Alright film but really not what I thought it was going to be about. Another alright movie but I dare anyone to watch the final 30 minutes or so and not end up thinking, hmmm that film was quite a lot like Akira.
Legend (1985) 10/10 i remember seeing this when i was a kid, so when i came across this yesterday i had to get it. i picked up the ultimate edition on blu-ray. which came with a directors cut version and the theatrical release. such an epic movie. dont even bother with the theatrical release because so much content is cut from it. the directors cut is just awesome.
Last movie I saw was Rushmore, excellent funny movie, one of the best I've seen recently. Highly recommended. The main character and Bill Murray are priceless in this No! But I've heard about it, it sounds too freaky for me. uke2: I hear A Serbian film is also highly disturbing. I liked Drive too, it was a bit simple / underplayed in the dialogue though IMO. If you want to see some more good stuff from the same instructor, I can recommend watching his Pusher trillogy, it's in Danish, which I bet you'll find to be a funny sounding language. Great movies.
Been looking at this myself, is there a big difference between the print used for the Director's Cut as i hear it's not as good as the Theatrical, or is the DC so much better that the difference in quality shouldn't matter.
