compgeek, cant you just take a screen from when its under load for this one? that would be a lot easier, not having to explain the speedstep thing in here.

CPU-Z sucks for this speedstep crap... I have resorted to crystal cpu

Give me a minute to pull my jaw off of the floor here.

    Three questions for ya compgeek:

    1. What's the stock voltage?
    2. What voltage is that overclock attained with?
    3. Is that a dual-Prime stable overclock?

Thank you very much for all of the information you've been providing BTW.:)

    np man :)

    stock is 1.4v

that OC was attained @ 1.6v

It is prime stable @ 3850MHz 1.575v.. 1.56v too I beleive, it doesnt really increase prime stability going up to 1.6v, just SuperPI and suicide.

Once again, you're tempting me to risk a divorce. But I still think I'll wait until Q1 2007 and get a Conroe with a couple of R600's. I absolutely can't freaking wait to play Crysis and I want to enjoy it in all it's glory.

I just noticed this thread. This is my highest attainable OC with my Gigabyte board. I am not 100% benchmark stable...but I can get around Windows fine. This is on aircooling...and allot of volts lol...

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=77783

My highest stable overclock is 2.75ghz with this cpu...back when was using my DFI Ultra-D. I was able to get my RAM to 500mhz at 2-3-3-6-1T with a little tweaking (which is not possible on this Gigabyte board). Once again this in on aircooling...and 1.6v.

This on air , with CPU voltage set to auto ...

Hope to get some ddr433 modules soon .. and then i'll have the CPU running at 2.5 GHz ... the limit i estimate to be around 2.62 GHz ...
