Has anyone found a flag that works for Cars: The videogame, or is that game too old?
    I've tried many, still trying.

Any flag working for UE4 games? Is possible to force HBAO in it?

I dont beleive custom flags work in dx11. I do know that in the rare case a dev makes an nvidia flag, forcing will work a-la mgsv

    ALSO

I found that the left 4 dead 2 hbao flag 0x00000014 (Left 4 Dead 2) when used in half life 2 looks the same but dosen't have bleeding issues.

Driver DX11 HBAO+ flags work exactly the same way as they do in DX9.
And NVIDIA is creating the official HBAO+ flags, not game developers.

There are many custom DX11 HBAO+ flags in both MrBonk's list as well as my own master list spreadsheet.
    Please don't attempt to generalize.

Went to play again and the big update for the game broke AO for DX9. DX11 still works, but still exhibits the same flickering on occasion as before. Not sure it's worth it, somebody else can try to fix it if they want, not how I want to spend my time atm.

Is there a Shattered Horizon hbao+ code possible or maybe which could be most ideal?

I googled a bit and saw it uses heavy modified 3dmark Vantage engine.

Win 10 flag edit is possible if you modify .dlls in "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_63f40b686fe9309f\" folder. Sucessfully edited Dark Souls flag. (Driver version 385.69). Dragging according dll to the game's executable folder doesn't work neither dragging to sysWOW64, only the ones in the mentioned path.

Hello. I´m plaiyng Xcom 2. There is a compatibility for this game for enabling hbao+ with F1 2014. But there is a horrible flicker in game. Is there any other compatibility flag for this game? Or how to adjust this or fix this pls? Because ingame SSAO is worse and cost more FPS. Thank you

From what I've tried of it, I cannot say if you're joking or not. MXAO looks worse than the old Crytek's SSAO imo. Certainly not better than HBAO+ or VXAO.

I don't know if I would go that far, but it's not a touch on HBAO+ unfortunately, and it still suffers the same bleeding problems that any other improperly implemented solution can.

It is better than a lot of modern game's crap SSAO. So , so many games still suffer the same problems that Crysis had, or worse, no one seems to care to bother to solve them when they could.
Often I find myself just wanting to turn off the in game AO.

I am currently playing FFXII on PS4 (only because I can't wait for the innevitable ass backwards PC port that will come out in 1-2 years), and they implemented SSAO into it. Which is for the most part subtle until you find it's glaring flaws staring you in the face, causing temporal issues that the game otherwise doesn't have. (IQ is very nice, though soft with a good MSAA/DoF blend). Things like egregious clouding at all times on character models below the waist, clouding on foliage along with tons of flickering, and in areas like the Dalmasca Westersand during a sandstorm, the AO is at times more visible than the rest of the visuals .

I honestly wish I could just turn it off. It's at least better than the awkward SSAO in FFX/X-2HD.

Default Wolfenstein (2009) flag is flickering pretty heavily in 16:10 with a tweaked FOV.

HBAO+ works great in Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones with the Demigod profile (0x0000001F). Unlike the Aion profile (0x00000018) which works too (kinda), it doesn't flicker or bleed through the menu screen. It's also visible in screenshots unlike the other profile.

    AO off:

    AO on:

The only downside is that it bleeds a bit through light shafts (and water too):

EDIT: I recommend using "Performance" instead of "Quality" for the AO setting. The latter does cause some glitches like black lines on walls.

    Performance:

    Quality:

The Performance setting produces a more subtle effect but it still looks nice:

See if it does the same in 16:9, might be another one of those.
