    Odd.
But then again, they have their fingers in lots of pies.
ie a lot more happens under the hood that they influence.

Why is the file size important?

    http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4522

Click on any of the four links (32/64bit, Win7-8/10) and the browser gives you the size value of the file. You get your answer much faster that way. ;-)

Yeah, default is not ticked. Notifications are checked that a new driver is available.

The only game that i xperienced worse performace with this hotfix is Nier automate, it gives me 5 fps less when i play at single gpu and play 4K with 8xmsaa i had 60fps all the time no wsome times it dips to 55fps in some areas.

With this hotfix I get a black bar on Opera Web browser, it covers the address bar and the bookmarks toolbar, this is the first time I've had problems with Opera and driver but since I installed this driver(yesterday) I've had it happen three times even after a DDU clean install.

Ok maybe I missed something....but why you guys rolling back past 382.05?
You not worried about the potential security risk through the Java plugin before that driver?

It's your decision in the end but I was just wondering.....anyway I too got a system freeze bsod, last night in WD2, log pointing to memory management.

Been running memory with Channel and Rank interleaving disabled for some time and for a long time before that, had it on auto.Set it back and things were normal, so I should know tonight if that was the issue.

I have the driver restarting problem since 378.77 watching video in chrome, in my case it´s extremely annoying because it swaps my displays and the secondary forgets the custom set resolution, I have to go through the headache of using nvidia control panel to enable both displays, delete such resolution, create it again, change the resolution to it, disabling my primary display, and then switch back to it... all of that so windows doesn´t change the resolution of the secondary to something else when switching :bang:

...as for the java security hole, nvidia gives more actual headaches honestly.

I haven't had JAVA installed for about a year now, what am I missing?

JAVA is a security risk in itself, and have found nothing that doesn't work without it.

    That said.

Is this driver better than the 384.76, reading a lot of bad things about both these 384.xx drivers?

Had random TDR's with the 382.53's, youtube video issues with the 382.33's. So getting a little gun shy about updating to newer nvidia drivers. Using the 382.05's as I have no issues with them.

    Thank you.

Odd flashing in Doom 3 and game will make the monitor go out of range, going back to 382.53 and there are no issues. Seems to be an issue with sli and opengl

@ Monchis, Flakman - Cool, I thought it was a bigger deal is all.

Didn't get another BSOD but the game did crash to desktop with Uplay error window.Bumped up voltage from 1.32 to 1.35 on the CPU and so far it looks good. After an hour of WD2 at 3840x2160, no vsync, no frame limiter and overclocked, all cores in the 60's with one at 68...gpu at 48..chipset at 60...384.76 driver.
