I was going to do a video but it seems it's a 64bit application and afterburner doesn't work with it. I can't use fraps as it causes the frame rate to drop dramatically with some applications, including this one.

I liked the gpu mathematics test, i was only in the 20s but it looked really smooth all the same, i didn't OC vram when testing but nowadays i'm usually at stock or with things like these i'll usually need to underclock to keep the temps down or even stop crashing, makes me think about water cooling, i'd much rather have a beastly single card than two running at stock.

That's one of the reasons why I now prefer to stay away from multi-GPU systems, there's a whole lot more, too. And nice score, hopefully they balance the final version a little better.

Looks like windows 7 and 8 show very similar performance, going by your results, -Tj-.

Regarding your low scores, it seems I should be scoring higher as well, some 7970 owners are getting much higher scores according to the marks posted on the main website, over 11k at 1200MHz.

Not sure what's causing it though.

Looking forward to your results, interested in seeing what a single card scores, as well.

Mike V, i'm surprised you card wasn't getting throttled, what temps did it reach?

Has anyone purchased the basic edition or advanced? I spent the 4 bucks via paypal for the basic but I never got a key. Also on there website where you upgrade no matter what tab you select it will only let you buy the basic upgrade.

310.70s = Lower scores for me (just remembered below test where PCIe 2.0)

    Guys, so you are aware.

While installing, it writes to areas of the registry it has no right to go near and sets itself up as a trusted installer, with many many many writes to it and for some reason asks for direct access to the hard drive, something other installers never ask for!
I denied it doing all of this and the program still works fine (using Comodo Defense+ to trap all accesses).

Right at the end of the install, something called IRC tried to connect to the internet.
I dont know what it really is, but we all know what IRC is.
I hope this isnt a backdoor out of your PC to an IRC channel, especially after it set itself up as a trusted installer !

fyi, not trying to badmouth it, but I am quite concerned.

If it was trying to do anything suspicious it would have been picked up by avast on my system. There are also possibly hundreds of websites hosting this, if there was anything out of the ordinary happening it would have been common knowledge by now. Not to mention the software has been in closed beta testing for who knows how long.

But, who knows. Maybe avoid installing it for a while if concerned and wait and see if anything is discovered.
