How many hd's do you have on your main desktop?

1x300 raptor,1x1tb ,1x 2tb in my main pc and a load of drives in nas,proxy server etc

 

1. Mushkin Enhanced Chronos Deluxe SSD 120gb main drive
2. Mushkin Enhanced Chronos Deluxe SSD 60gb scratch drive for photoshop
3. WD Black 1tb for storage.

 

320 GB internal
17 TB external (1 TB + 4x1.5 TB + 5x2 TB)

 

1 x Crucial m4 120gb ssd for O/S
2 x Seagate Barracuda green 2tb for storage and files

all SATA 3 6.0gb

 

Used to have loads, then i switched to NAS.

Computer:
3 x 1TB RAID 5 (OS and Programs)
1 x 1TB (Game ISO storage)
1 x 1TB (Game & Software storage)

 

2TB - Main
1TB - Media
160GB - Games
160GB - Crap

 

1 m4 120gb for OS and 3-4 games.
1 2TB seagate barracuda.

Samsung 830 "128GB" for OS and basic apps = 119GB, 105GB free.

Hitachi "320GB" for the rest = 298GB, 226GB free.

As you can see, even this is overkill for my usage, I'm not games/movies/ehm torrents junkie .

Most of the used spaces goes for music.

 

2 500GBs which were in raid0 long time ago, but I the benefits over the negative aspects weren't worth it.
And a single 2TB drive for storage, plus a 160gb external one.

2x 500 GB Seagate 7200rpm = storage
80 GB Seagate 7200rpm = OS
160 GB Hitachi Laptop Drive 5200 rpm = used as a removable drive as backup for my important stuff

 

64GB Intel 520 SSD - OS/Installed Programs
500GB Seagate Barracuda SATA III - Installed Games
500GB Seagate Barracuda SATA III - Games Backup
500GB Seagate Barracuda SATA III - Movies
500GB Seagate Barracuda SATA III - Applications
500GB Seagate Barracuda SATA III - Assorted
500GB Seagate Barracuda SATA II - Spare hot swap

Total: 7 drives, 3.6TB.
