Hey! WHich gtx670 would you recomend? Im planing on these two: Msi power edition: http://www.skytech.lt/n670pe2gd5oc-vga-pcie16-gtx670-2gb-gddr5n670-2gd5oc-msi-p-126532.html? or Asus direct CUII: http://www.skytech.lt/gtx670dc22gd5...gb-ddr5-256-bit-hdmi-2xdvi-box-p-123635.html? Ou, and what are your thouths about the gigabyte one? Im talking about this one: http://www.skytech.lt/gvn670wf22gd-...-2gb-ddr5-256-bit-hdmi-dvi-box-p-127385.html? But not sure if i want the gigabyte, just asking for your opinions on that one. I dont want 3x gigabyte cooling cuz its crazy loud. And Please tell me which of these cards are voltage locked. Thank you!
I own the MSI 670 PE card and it's been a nice card. The temps are reasonable under load and I can't say it's missed beat in any of the games I've played. My only gripe is the advertising on the box says "Triple Overvoltage". The only thing that actually works to overvolt the gpu is MSI Afterburner v2.3. Any newer version of Afterburner and the gpu overvoltage has been locked. So in reality this card is no better for OC'ing then a reference 670 with an after market cooler. Pro's 2 slot nice air cooling solution. Reasonable factory OC out of the box. Has been very stable in every game I've played. Con's Big con it the advertising with "Triple Overvoltage" makes it sound like you can push the gpu volts more then reference 670. Based on the above con, the price is a little to steep for my likings. Non reference board design, make water cooling more effort as there is no full cover block to suit this card.
EVGA GTX670 FTW Sig2 comes recommended... Its a little expensive, but got a decent cooler, nice turbo out of the box (1150) and additional 200 on the ram as stock. Performs great....though I cant comment on the OC performance as I've not yet needed it!!
I would get a 4gb version... Some will disagree, but I keep hitting the limit seriously. Well, depends on your gaming habit too...
Id go with the Asus one, it seems the fans of those MSI Coolers break down really often. Not to mention they are really noisy.
I've got mine for few months now,I dont really need to overclock it but i have try a fast one to see what it change.I have add 125 mhz on core and 200mhz on memory and everything was running very fine. Dint go higher than that was just for fun but im pretty sure it could reatch the top core and memory setthing. So to me the asus is a greath card perform very well,no noise and doesnt run hot. Hope it helps Rom
Their both pretty good cards. Take the Asus one imo since the price between isn't that big on the MSI one.
