Your VGA can output more then 60 frame in all the games at verry hight settings. With your monitor is limited at 60 FPS. A 144Hz monitor is fantastic for gaming. Go for Asus VG248QE if you find one in your country.

    hehe tnx :)

btw nvm that monitor for now..
I own 60hz, but you know what's funny now that I changed my gpu from 580 to 780 whole picture feels more responsive, like I had better G2G monitor response time or like I had higher refresh rate.
Really, I was playing Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition (2013?) @ vsync and before I saw slight ghosting/blurring when characters jumped and moved around, now its super fast, I couldnt believe such difference.

Idk maybe its because now gpu has much much lower latency and that somehow transferred on picture responsiveness, saw the same thing in BF3 @vsync - off :)

thanks a lot guys this turning to more like a party

    :bunch:

as i said here the gigabyte idea of 3 fans and pips really work , i never saw
anything colder even on stock and the fans dont need to run fast its really
quite . ill give you a screen of kombastor and afterburner but not oced
sorry . i did not research on making oc yet .
i oced my 6870 before bothering the card messing with fan profiles
ex,,, lots of head ache for 4 or 5 fps more its just not worth .
buying a better card is better . with the 780 current output i dont see
no reason to confuse the card with custom fan profiles and voltages changes . and burn out tests for an extra handful of fps or a benchmark
score . ill just let it roll on its own :wanker:

here you go with an extreme benchmark like kombustor
600 second the temp stable at 75c that is rediculsly low with kombustor
settings i hit run torture test fans going at 60% without a sound .
i dont see a need to change the factory settings at this moment .
    here is your screens .

    edited

wind force :tux: ice cold solid build , good price . good quality brand
a good deal in my opinion am really happy with it . runs star citizen on
very high very easy . i was playing for hours 2 days ago its a seen .
the game is steep but worth every penny spent on a good hardware to play it .

Overclocking if done right can yield more than 4-5 fps, especially in a high end product but its ok, i'll test it when i get my card, i don't feel good if i don't overclock my gpu/cpu.

Thanks for the screens although i don't think kombustor/furmark is a good way to stress the card but its ok,i've made an idea of what to expect.

Yes,the Ghz edition. Would have liked to get a normal one non OC'ed and just overclock it myself , i imagine i won't have much oc headroom considering its already over 1000 mhz ,but it'll do i guess:)

Nice Rig mate. I will be building me a rig in the next couple of months around an i7 4790k with an r9 280x since the 780 is out of my price range.

Too weak since card throttles down when it detects it's running.

Best to use benches like valley/heaven or even firestrike put in a loop of 3 or more ...or just play games like crysis 3. But its ok no need to do that for me because i already made an idea of what to expect,ty again for that:)

card did not throttle down , 100 gpu usage all the time fans on 60%
heat wont go above that and kombustor is way too strong and lots of people fears it
