Theres too many 690 threads atm, we only need 1 thread tbh.

Starting price nearly as high as 2 680 cards. This is neither attractive nor normal.

This card is cuting edge technlogy and considering a first time 2 full power GPUs (just downclock 8%) and state of the art quiet cooling, card is very attractive and not expensive.

Does sound like it could be an amazing card, though does look like Nvidia are over compensating for the dubious build quality of the 590.

Pity its way out my price range.

very sexy card, but not worth $999.99 I would pay max $749.99

Sigh, GTX 690 is made/priced for SLI and CF users, ready to pay over $1,200 for top performing multi GPU solution (too expensive for the single GPU users).

Beside this is the first card that uses airspace technology to make a heatsink.

It may very well use "airspace" technology, and I agree the cooler the better, but come on, where they say, "A cast aluminum frame with trivalent chromium plating gives the card a unique look and tremendous rigidity. An injection molded magnesium fan housing adds to the formidable stiffness of the card." They aren't designing a car chassis, it's a heatsink. Next they'll be trying to sell us carbon-fibre shrouds for "lightweight, high performance" coolers!

All said though, looks impressive, but I'll be waiting for the next best single GPU solution. On a side note, I wonder how much of that $1k price tag is attributed to that cooler?

don't like Apollo-16-aluminum-cast-magnesium-3-hydroxide yadi yadi yada...?

wait for AMD's crude oil jet with the charcoal chimney that should be coming soon afterwards :D

OK guys just forget the airspace tech part, it was mentioned to point why HSH is so efficient.

Name me any dual GPU card with air heatsink that brings sound at 36db idle and 46db load.

basicly nvidia is pulling another marketing stunt with their bull****

"The outer frame is made from trivalent chromium-plated aluminum, while you'll find thixomolded magnesium alloy around the fan for vibration reduction and added cooling."

ill translate = WE ARE SO ****ING CHEAP WE DIDNT CARE TO PUT COPPER ON YOUR GFX :)

especialy the trivalent chromium plated part is a ****ing joke.. nobody needs to know what state the chromium is in. they arent selling this to chemists, they are selling it to gamers - the fact that most gamers dont know wtf that means is just proof of it. i feel ashamed to be a chemist and actualy understand that nvidia crap :(

So HSF that cool 2 GPUs and 4GB memory at full load under 46db of noise is marketing stunt?

Well you have absolutely no idea what are you talking about.

    EDIT
Fixed, sory I shouldn't quote his word.

since nvidia already handed one out in public I assume that people can already put up reviews, but no one has them yet.
