I drink a bucketload of water before going to bed. When I wake up I try to eat as quickly as possible, before I start feeling sick. Food is the key for me, as soon as I manage to eat some I feel so much better. After that a hot shower feels great.
You get hangover when you stop drinking alcohol and go to sleep. Keep on drinking and eat some caffeine tablets. Few glasses of water before going to sleep and then water when I wake up.
Toast plenty of water,as much as you can drink to hydrate yourself,go out for a walk in the park helps also, give it a few hrs and it will wear off.
get a pint glass, fill it with 2 spoons of nescafe, not decaf crap, ice and then the rest of the glass with coke. it will wake you the F$£k up and get rid of your headache
Bad advice or not, a Bloody Mary works wonders. The VC in the tomato juice is what probably eases the suffering, but I don't really care to analyze it.It works, so I do it.
This, plus they taste awesome. Best hangover prevention though (imo), is to not drink anything sweet like wine, and drink a ton of water before bed and the next morning.
Yeah, good advice, i do that and something small to eat with a high strength mulitvitamin before i go to bed. If you are so wasted that that isn't possible, then next morning, you have to eat something, and drink alot of fluids the second you wake up, the longer you leave it, the worse it gets, and the harder it will be to face food, or keep any of it down. A hair of the dog, or a curer as we call it in Glasgow also works, but you can't help feeling like an alcoholic if you do it first thing. As above i've found fresh tomato juice helps, as does fresh orange, as well as Lucozade or something most of you won't know called Irn Bru, they don't cure it, but they help you get on with your day if you happen to be working.
A hangover is the result of your body/cells being dehydrated (remember all the pissing you did?). The only way to "cure" a hangover is water, sleep also helps. The best way to prevent a hangover is to drink a lot of water while you consume alcohol and continue to drink water after you stop.
my cure is 1500mg of Tylenol its risky but my body can handle it ok so far but I wouldn't drink unless you have the next day off.
1500mg is a touch high of Tylenol/Paracetomol, 1000mg is as high as i would go, it does work great for headaches, and also reducing body temp, but have to be careful as it is harsh on the liver, especially after you've battered it with alcohol. Milk Thistle is good for helping the Liver recover abit if you are worried about that though, picked that up from my bodybuilding days.
Mine is to not drink in the first place Well when I used to drink it was just water, sleep, and a most delicious peanut butter and honey sandwich on slightly toasted bread (peanut butter on both sides so the bread doesn't get all weird from the honey). God damn that was tasty. I think I'll have one now.
I don't drink but i've been told IRN BRU is the way to go. Now donno if you can find that "under a bridge"
I get strange hangovers, I don't get a headache or anything. I just drag ass half the day while feeling hungry the entire day. Even after a good sized meal an hour later my stomach is growling "FEED ME!".
Peanut butter + water helps (the peanut butter contains the salts needed to make the water useful). There's a reason the 6% saline drip works. Hint: 6% NaCl, 94% H2O. You work it out. //Svein
