Arctic Accelero Xtreme 7970 VGA Cooler

    Think most of them are, it's a matter of swapping the mounting plate.

    The contact area is rotated 90degrees, looks like a diamond, by looking that the 7970 cooler so it wont work.

    The other coolers will most likely fitt the 7970 with another mounting plate, but this one wont work on nVidia Cards.

    But why bother the hassle if you can buy a complete set :)

    Well, you also spend money on a 1000 Watt PSU with a single GPU configuration. You could have saved money and buy a 750 Watt and spend the rest on an awesome VGA Cooler ;)

    Am i right or am i right?

    no your wrong since ive had a 4870x2 and 8800gtx in this system before i bought my 580gtx :)
    its not about saving money either otherwise i would have owned a AMD pc ;)

    pc parts are too expenisve in general imo :D

    you dont have to defend the cooler btw, im sure its a great product :thumbup:

    BTW it's the other way around, copper is better at conducting heat while aluminum is better at dissipating it, that's exactly why you have copper heatpipes or radiator cores (to deliver the heat) while the fins are made of aluminum (to dissipate it).
