Personally, I'm not optimistic about x86 being able to achieve the same lower power/performance ratio that ARM is able to do so. Personally, I think Intel should just ditch the x86. It's old and clunky. I think I'm just going to stick with ARM for the foreseeable future. My battery life only lasts about a day (and I use the Internet a lot), so I would expect that an Intel CPU would maybe last about 4 - 5 hours without a giant battery like those found in larger form factors. deltatux
You know what? When Intel finally manages to make energy efficient x86 CPU, ARM will already catch up x86 in performance.
When I first heard of this partnership I wept, for it probably means that all Goog/Moto phones will be using ****tastic Atom SOCs.
