Nice! Never played the hitman games. The new one out?

Playing about with FO4 again atm, don't do as much gaming anymore, always some game so want to play though! Got Witcher 1 & 2 to play yet lol

    Also waiting for CyberPunk 2077

I like Catzilla, it's a cool bench to watch and listen to lol

How much longer we gotta wait for Broadwell! I wanna see some records smashed with those 10 core beasts lol

well hitman is just ok I spent just likw 20 bucks on it, just to mess around. I don't play it like they want you too you know I just have fun my way.
its just ss4 bf5 and maybe portal that I will get this year that's it.
buying 4 games a year is giving way too much money to the todays pc game industry tbh besides ss4 the rest of my money I could watch burning candles and maybe have more fun lol.

I am ready for new cards to play with and some more cpu cores too, I don't care if they are top of the line cards as long as we can mod them somehow.

No I rarely buy games anymore, sometimes I'll just wait ages for it to be really cheap on Steam lol I bought Witcher 1 & 2 for £11, that's for both not each :)

I won't spend much because I don't think a lot of games are worth it, though I did buy FO4 on release as I've waited 5-6 years for it and its a game I know I'll play for years! Much like Skyrim.

I need to start looking into vmods etc for 5770s as I have two of them I can play with one, also the 5850 I got has a waterblock on it so perhaps I could look into a mod for that too, put the Tek 9 on it if all goes well. The 5870 already has OCP mod so looking forward to dice runs with that :)

As for the 5970 prob not worth it as its under air, perhaps one day if I expand my equipment again with two slim pots I can mount them both on there and do dice runs!

I'm also thinking perhaps I should just put the tek 9 on the 5770 and 5850 and run cold without mods just too see how much scaling I see

fun times ahead me thinks ;)

Didn't use newer drivers when I played with my 4850, pretty much stuck with 9.12 for all my subs. Ran those on Win7 also.

I think most peeps used 9.12 with the 4850, saw 11.11 but mostly 9.12

Good luck dude! Be nice to see some subs from you ;)

Picked up a G3258 recently for £33! So looking forward to playing with that under cold and some PSC. MikeMK made one XTU sub with one, but didn't do the rest, so hopefully I can collect some points for the team.

well I have 1 4850 at about 960 just on air but its sucks with no sub zero on the cpu.
good luck on the G3258 if you can get them to run then you can get good points

Blimey! 960 on air! Think all i managed was around 830mhz with pencil mod on air!

What CPU you got? Grab some dice should get some good scores there!!

I have a hard mod on it but its runs just like it did 5 years ago when I put it away for my 9800gtx's and gx2.it goes 1050 or so on dice

I promised that I would not put the 4770k/ud4 on dice to the person that got it for me...when she is not around anymore I will blast it as far as I can go lol
playing with a gts 320 this week
@756 an A3 card stock voltage with a aio on but its so limited on cpu dependent benches....last time I ran that sub zero it was 820 stock volts and close to 860ish with voltage(1.42ish)... I should have g0t rid of these older cards years ago

Oh right, Hard mods is something I've got to learn to do, or try and buy cards already hard modded such as the 5870 I've just recently bought!

Oh have you lol I don't have my girl buy me comp stuff anymore, she gets a little upset sometimes when its time to move something on that she's bought me lol I do love women :)

I'll have to play with the old Nvidia cards a at some point. Used to have a 8800GTS (G92) and a GTX275 but sold em both ages ago.

Think that's something I need to start to do a bit more, when I'm done with hardware I should move it on a bit quicker so I have funds to get something else in. Problem is because I can only do dice I think one day I might have LN2 then I can rebench everything again lol

Perhaps I should just keep the cards I enjoy benching the most and lose the rest after I maxed out what I can on dice

I'll have that G3258 under SS as soon as I've completed Fallout 4. All going well on SS I'll order some dice and go for it.

My G3258 isn't much good. Take well over 1.5v for 5Ghz XTU and Cinebench stable even under ss.

Don't know enough about G3258s to know whether its worth delidding the chip, but I doubt it. Threw up a few quick 5Ghz runs, will come back to it when I order some dice, see if I can get a bit more, otherwise I'll pick up another one see if I get a bit more luck

In the meantime I've got my gaming rig back up and running, thinking about trying a clean install of Win 10, though I'd prefer to get an M.2 card instead of using my two SSDs first.

Not to mention I need to change my two 7970s for at least a single 1070, though I'm going to wait until next for AMDs 480 reviews first.

And how is that 4770K OC'ing?

I see you wrote golden :D, how much do you need for e.g. 4.7GHz

Haven't begun on that one yet, but I've had her under ss too and have been able to do Cinebench R15 etc at 5.4GHz @ 1.46v running 2666MHz mems at 8-12-8-28 1T Uncore 4.8Ghz, done a 5.7GHz HWprime @ 1.55v all under ss! Ln2 and this ****er will fly ;P

Its under custom water in my gaming rig now, feels like a waste to be fair lol One day I'll get some Ln2 on her!

5.4GHz at just 1.46v really sounds golden :nerd:

Well, Tj you chip can do 1.28v for 4.7ghz, right? I bet its capable running similiar clocks at 1.46v.

Yes, half stable its at 1.26v.

Max I tested was 5GHZ HT on @ 1.39V and it bsod by winlogon,
4.9ghz passed logon at 1.365v but bsod by v.high load,
4.8Ghz was "stable" at 1.33v but too hot for my poor H90 lol, saw a few loading spikes to 70-72C, in gaming its ok but them temp spikes >_<

    for example 4.5GHz needs just 1.17v :D

I'll have a play with mine 2morrow see what it can do under water, only ever run her under ss so should be interesting. Wondering if I should buy more grizzly every degree matters ;)

Can't quite remember but I think I managed an XTU run at 5GHz CPU 4GHz cache @ 1.2v under ss

Been having a little play this afternoon

Managed XTU 4.9GHz 1.275v Max temp reported by XTU was 75c

    edit

just surfing around in windows at 5Ghz 1.3v

couldn't get 5GHz XTU stable at 1.33v temps 81c where the highest i saw before crashing, those temps are too high for my taste, think I'll go for 4.8GHz 24/7 keep volts low, I still want this chip for some dice runs at some point. May aim for cache to run 4.6Ghz

    edit

playing xtu @ 4.7GHz CPU 4.4GHz cache @ 1.18v and 1.080v respectively! max temp 65C going to keep dropping vcore until its unstable, doubt I can go much lower though

I have noticed though that real temp is showing one core (the last one) consistently 7-9c lower than the other cores which are generally about the same

1.17v bsod' on me, notched it back up to 1.185v

    Just done a r11.5 run completed no problem, temps 56c 57c 56c 52c

may leave it at those settings, might tweak a few RAM timings, tRFC is like 196 wanna get that lower

I can get my CPU stabled with ~1.41V for 5.0GHz after 3DMark03 (XP) and Vantage (Win 7)! :D But HT was disabled! ;)
