i've never seen a thread about this so here goes.. does anybody else like me loves to whistle parrot style? i must've inherited it from my mom, she also whistles any melody, even tv ads it's almost automatic for me. even in the supermarket or whatever, i often whistle. i either get a stare from the guys or a smile (the girls @ the counter seem to enjoy it) like the other day i whistled the (crappy) -Kenny G- song they were playing lol also the occasional comment "you're pretty good" .....or "please stop, you're bothering the clients"
If you can whistle like the Parrots we have visiting the garden feeders that's pretty loud! Once tried in vain to learn how to do that fingers in the mouth loud "over here" whistle, failed.

I'm only whistling while I'm thinking about a problem when working with electricity, or when I'm in the hardware store looking for something that's not where it should be
lol some funny replies in here @Whitelightning - damn you now i can't stop whistling Perry Como, always liked the song. edit: mom too in the kitchen, i can hear her whistle the song she must've heard it lol image name = Redneck Dog Teeth HA HA HA see what happens when you stop using Colgate Extra-Whitening toothpaste? (dog on the right). certainly is!
me too, ever since I got my dental bridge. but I can't whistle a tune so I'm jealous. But I do tap my fingers to tunes like i'm playing a piano. Looks weird but it's a natural reaction.
I whistle a lot... I bet it's annoying to others around me. Nobody's ever said anything about it so I guess it can't be all that bad :/
I can't whistle sadly, not the normal way anyway. I thought I could but I've been told by people that what I do is not whistling. I can however do the fingers in mouth, really loud "over here" whistle .
I only whistle when I want to annoy other people. A good way is to put a blade of grass between your thumbs and blow. It makes a god awful annoying sound when you get it right.
When listening to music I whistle the guitar. When bored I whistle dixie and I don't know what it's called but the whistle from "The Bridge on the River Kwai"
This guy probably doesn't feel like whistling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYslhL71k1M Better turn on the subtitles, if you don't speak Glesca!
I started when I was about 7 and gotten good ( now 30) to the point of bugging people by whistling themes to tv shows and movies or sad songs.... some people hate it when I whistle Mad World.....
That lame old hit 'Little Does She Know' by The Kursaals suddenly entered my head, and now I can't stop whistling it!
