Hey guys, sorry this took longer than expected. This is the revised list of specs. Could someone double check me on compat? I've gone over it already, but I might have missed something. Thanks for all the help thus far! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231519 would be a better choice for memory. Despite the timings being slower the RAM is actually faster. Timings between different RAM speeds are NOT directly comparable.
Yes, but I'm worried that my mobo does not support 2133. It is not listed. So if anyone could educate me on this.
using higher speed ram one most mobos force the supported lower speed or u can set the ram speed to the spec but aka running motherboard in OC mode I have used 1800 DDR3 and ran it at 1066 and 1333 with no troubles so its shouldnt be a problem
Occasionally the odd game is popping up that actually uses and benefits from HyperThreading. If you're going for the best graphics card with a reasonable price, it might pay to go for the best gaming CPU out there as well, the i7. That aside, Haswell is coming in June, you might want to get an i5 4570K / i7 4770K anyways, and a Z87 motherboard to go with it as well.
Update: I found this combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Combo..._-EMC-052513-Index-_-Combo-_-Combo1327738-LC1 but it can't oc.
That motherboard definitely supports DDR3-2133, that is not an issue. Considering it is such a small price increase over DDR3-1600 it really wouldn't make sense getting the DDR3-1600. With that combo, motherboard is overclockable (being a Z77 not H77 etc), but the CPU isn't.
