Also the way he has arms spread out to the sides, makes you look big and strong, well if you live in the jungle and actually are a monkey. Thats a shame.
Where were all you freedom of speechers when it was Don Imus in the hot seat?"Nappy Headed hoes" is hate speech, but calling the President a monkey shows no disrespect? Yeah, that's exactly why television news is losing ratings to talk radio. What I really miss, are the days when you could turn on the news and get the news. Not some liberal opinion piece.
Exactly, just because people don't like Bush's policies, it doesn't mean that they have a right to slander him on national TV. Calling the president a monkey is juvenile and not the kind of freedom that Americans should be proud of.
Good post, I don't like Hillary the least little bit but if a reporter made a comment like that about her I'd want them fired as well. How about we critique our politicians based on thier policies since both sides have enough trouble with performing those.
There's no rule that only black people's hair can be nappy,or only black women can be hoe's.There's also no law that prohibits white people from disliking black folks. The Imus case was personal opinion, and not illegal. He was fired because the network wanted to maintain 'standards',not because of any legal reasons.I maintain my point. There should be a standard of decency across the board, and political viewpoints have no place in broadcast news.
The 'News' in whatever forum it is imparted should be so imparted in an impartial way. This allows others to make an informed choice on how to react to the news. Besides, saying he looks like a monkey may dissuade me from my view that I think he looks and acts like a total arse!
People who are incapable presenting their point of view based on hard facts and logic often resort to personal attacks and name calling. MSNBC is a pathetic source for accurate news anyway.
Bush has known for a long time that Iran is not developing Nuclear weapons, yet still going around tossing up terms like World War 3 etc etc in an attempt to justify their potential attack on Iran he deserves to be called much worse. Not sure what sort of news coverage the US has actually had on this topic but the report which was released a few days ago has pretty much thwarted any chance of the US invading Iran on their Nuclear policy terms. http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0712/S00068.htm Its nice to see that somewhere along the chain people are finally refusing to cook up BS intelligence reports to scare the public into supporting an unjust war. So to summarize, I couldn't care less if a reporter calls him a monkey, be it for his looks, his politics, or (and he'll probably refute this one), his evolutionary ancestral ties.
Is Bush or the USA for that matter the only country that was thinking Iran was developing nuclear weapons? You might do some research and be surprised what other countries felt the same and didn't they get sanctions by the UN?
