(Scratch build) The Auto Rickshaw (Bajaj/Tuk-Tuk PC)

    Hi Everyone
I would like to share my scratch build, which I’ve been doing since late December 2012...It finish now.
The Idea is to build the vehicle that known as Bajaj (in Indonesia) or Tuk-Tuk (in Thailand).

I got the original design from paper craft at paper-replika.com. They give me permission to use and modified their paper craft design…
so I made a little change with Corel X5.
This design I will use for motherboard cover..

The material I will use is:
    1. Paper
    2. Acrylic
    3. Fiberglass
    4. Steel...and..
    5. Leather (black Leather)

    The hardware:
    1. M-ATX Motherboard = ECS H61H2-M12
and the rest soon... after Pay day..

First I make a mold from 180mm Cartoon Paper < don't know if this the right name, :)
re-size 150% bigger from the original design.

To get the right measurement and the right feeling :bang:
I glue it and make it just the same like a making of paper craft model it self..

Then Painted to choose the right color.
Will be use this color with black flat later.

Little messy and little itchy from fiber mat
    [IMG]

    For front wheel
    [IMG]

I will use this for bending the acrylic
    [IMG]

    Dremel work with Acrylic
    [IMG]

Bending acrylic with fiberglass as a mold, I use Heat gun to bend it

Thanks viren, the origin of Bajaj from your country isn't it? Really unique shape and great engine, it's still running on our street...for decades

Update pict for PSU and Motherboard Tray.

I encounter problems in connecting between the PSU tray and the front, the acrylic its not strong enough to hold, even with some screw.
So I use "Puzzle Technique" got this idea when I see my daughter puzzle.

then fill the gap with super glue, leave it all night before masking and sanding it.

The Motherboard will be on top of Power supply
    [IMG]

    It fit..properly
    [IMG]

Will be soon for cover, and Paint..it
    Thanks..

    thank you sinnedone.

    Another progress…
Making front grill, I use 4mm acrylic.

There is a little curved at the top...hmmm..
since I did not make a mold to bend it, so..I use my working chair armrest for the mold.

Another play with heat gun, and it meld down then bend..It’s work
    [IMG]

A little bit of putty and sandpaper
    [IMG]

    Spray it with Black fat
some surface still not refined yet..I put some putty and spray it again.

    Done..

I also paint the body, use LIGHT SCARLET for the color,
Close enough with a color of model that I make before.

    Front fender, first layer paint
    [IMG]

And while waiting for paint to dry…I cut some steel, this will be pole for the soft top .
    Firework.....

To bad my Dremel not strong enough drill to make a hole on the steel
    [IMG]
Got to find a bigger drill.

Lucky me, there is a Hammersmith (I hope this a right word) near my house.
He very enthusiast when I tell him that I make a bajaj for pc,I show him a picture form my phone LOL..
So he do the drill itself also did a little finishing at the steel..
I really appreciate for what his done.. he make me promise that I will show him a bajaj pc after its done..LOL
This picture taken from his workshop look at the fire..
