My score: http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3021648;jsessionid=12ud693mxi11x1qopxxd91j5rd (CPU is stock, so proberbly worth OC'ing it later - if i can be bothered!) SLI'd 680 GTX i7 2600k Loving the cards so far
Yeh - I know - Using a corsair H80 on it too. Problem is - OCing things isnt a strong point, and, I have a habbit of "breaking" things lol >.>
My score with the OC below, P10356 3DMarks http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3029510 GPU core reaching 1232MHz using 1175 Mv Power target +132% CPU offset +130MHz Mem Clock offset +500MHz GPU temp maxing at about 75 while stressing down to lower 60s whilst gaming
I would like to see what are the maximum stable overclocks that people get on this cards on Water , so if you have gone the water cooling route please post some numbers , looking forward to it
I've just tried it and it seems fine... mostly. There's the odd minor judder when the goal area is packed, which was the same with my GTX 580, but otherwise it runs very smoothly at 60 fps. I've been working way through my games to see how they feel and so far I'm pleased with the improvements. Alan Wake for example runs smoother and Skyrim benefits from having extra memory for the textures. I haven't done much benchmarking except for Heaven 3.0 where I scored 1,109 (44.0 fps) on maxed out settings at 1920x1200 with 8xAA/16xAF and Extreme Tessellation. My GTX 580 score 703 (27.9 fps) on those same settings. The GPU boost feature is absolutely awesome though. I've seen my GTX 680 clock itself to 1,137 MHz on the core clock without having to do anything during games. It doesn't seem to overclock the memory though but you can use EVGA Precision X to do that.
DiRT 2 benchmarks at 1920x1200, DX11, Ultra settings, 8xQCSAA: GTX 680 (Min. 94.64 fps, Ave. 117.69 fps), GTX 580 (Min. 73.33 fps, Ave. 94.76 fps).
GTA IV keeps hanging when I force FXAA (did the same when I tested the v301.10 drivers with my GTX 580 too). I am using a NoDVD crack though to avoid having to use the disc so it might that. I'll have to try it with the disc.
So far its great! - having alot less problems than I did with crossfire, BF3 is silky-smooth, as is saints row 3.
im expecting some SGSSAA and/or AO perf experiences from you guys.. e.g. is it possible to run 4xSGSSAA(C1) + AO High Quality on 1080p@60FPS on Mass Effect 3 ? with or without OC
DiRT 3 benchmarks at 1920x1200, DX11, Ultra settings, 8xQCSAA: GTX 680 (Min. 71.57 fps, Ave. 91.53 fps), GTX 580 (Min. 52.15 fps, Ave. 61.96 fps).
