I would do just that Vet if I'm honest. Just make sure you get dibs on his 4930 next summer and you're good.

Well i went from a 3820 to 4820k...i know they're very close in performance but for the £20 difference i now run @4.6ghz without issues, my temps have dropped by 15c both idle and underload and everything from browsing the web to playing games is just snappier

    Ok will do.
Just ordered the Corsair 900D and waterblocks for the R4E motherboard and cpu as well as few other Watercooling items. Gonna wait for the Rampage black to come out and then grab the Rampage 4 Extreme cause it will be cheaper.

Im not gonna bother with the black because i wont use half of its features. The black comes out in around 7 days so may as well wait abit. Ill order cpu, ram and mobo together.

Dont know what ram to choose yet....
    Bedtime anyhow, nite all:)

Change of plan, Gonna wait for the Rampage 4 Black! Will run this on air till waterblocks are made. They have them for preorder from OCUK but i dont really want to order my stuff from there. Novatech are not going to stock them and Scan i dont buy from anymore. So im looking at another seller which has it on preorder for only £335.

I'd also look into Samsung SSDs just to add my 2 cents here. The 840 Pro as eclap mentioned or one of the Evo series. :) Nice build though! :D Post some pics when it's up.

    About ram,

this would be the "best" atm, any faster doesnt really yield any real difference, only more $$$

Any links to reviews where dual vs quad channel makes a real difference in gaming? I've only found 3d mark scores and even those aren't a massive difference tbh.

Yeah ill be taking alook at the Evo series and i will post pictures when it all arrives.
    Thanks Tj, great help!
I actually like all of those tbh, spoilt for choice.
Ive always gone with Corsair cause of there Lifetime warranty but they all have lifetime warranty so i guess it dont really matter nowadays what brand you go for. Whats difference with rams that is 1.5 an 1.65?
Is 1.5 better because of lower voltage, cooler, hence more headroom for oc?
The patriot from amazon have 1600mhz on them but the ones from Ocuk have 2400mhz and they look nice but there limited warranty. Thanks though appreciate it mate.

Thanks eclap ill take alook, thing is i dont think Rpggamesplayers cpu will be beaten on the OC. Ill see if i can get amazon to send me the batch number, but even so its gonna have to be a super golder chip to beat his at 5gz 1.35v.

Yeah i forgot about those ill go check these out!

Yeah it will be when i get hold of your cpu:D
Will last me a few sockets hopefully.

I would definitely go for 2133mhz at least. at 16gb you're looking at some £15 difference, max, between 1600mhz and 2133.

That's true, I thought I'd post it though, because it's a good deal. Then again, if you have the guarantee of RPG's cpu next summer, you might as well save the £100 right now and get a 4820, then his 4930 next summer. either way, you can't really go wrong.

Not much difference in voltage though its cool by default, mine Crucial Balistix Elite 1.65v are 30-40C max

    But if you lets say get a 2400mhz CL10 @ 1.5v, it could probably run at 2400mhz+ CL9 @ 1.60-1.65v.

Hey Bro i have a question for you.
With your cpu at 5ghz what speed is your ram running at alongside the cpu at 5ghz? Your answer will depend on what ram that i buy now.
    Thanks
