http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Maeus...esste-PC-Maus-der-Welt-DCMM-Colossus-1081857/ Apparently it's also a attempt for a world record for the world's largest functional PC mouse but I'm not very good with the German language other than a few basic phrases. I tried finding a better source but I couldn't so I only have this German article at the moment, I thought it looked impressive enough to make a post about it. (Whether it's a computer case or PC mouse or both - or a car - it does look fantastic.) EDIT:
The creator Hi guys, i was googling around yesterday and realised that my DCMM Colossus was being talked about here. Am glad I discovered your forum. My name is Ali Abbas and I am the creator of this Monster Mouse as ell as many other DCMM mods like the RENEGADE and Black Widow etc.. I will get some of my extreme cases online here too. The DCMM COLOSSUS was a true challenge to see if I could make this world record casemod which generates its own cursor when moved and of course making it not to heavy. it weighs approx. 21.5 kilos and has a i3 intel processor, ssd 128gbyte, loudspeakers, 16 gbyte ram, usb 3.0 and so forth. it is actually built around astandard acer noname office pc desktop case. the camera can be concealed or revealed by switching at the rear. the rear spoiler wing hold the keyboard and below it are certain other switches for lights, on off, reset and the top smokers etc.. The theme i seud hee was SPEED AND ACCELERATION. i didnt want to just build a big massive boring hand mouse, so i kick assed this one into my own style, which reminds us of certain automobile elements while also not lacking the specific mouse features too. it has 5 button and they all work. the scroll wheel used to be on a garden plough and is transmitted with a smaller wheel inbetween the mouse wheel and large wheel so that the scrolling does not go in the wrong direction. her are the video links. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T52XRQtNKlE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1ER9VgkBrg i am really happy that this world record build won 2 silver trophies at the last DCMM-GAMESCOM for best casemod and most spectacular. will send some more worklogs here soon, of other machines i have made. more to come. bye Ali Abbas / alias Alan-Lee
Wow! I am impressed.... I can't decide if I want to play video games with it or take it for a test drive around the block. :nerd:
i thought the picture were kinda off scale and then, the later photo confirmed that this is a frigging huge mouse....
