Hey guys, I know am late like 20 years, but really need to find the name of airplane game I used to play on my NES as a kid. Funny I have the cartridge right here with me but the label is missing as my NES system too x( So here is the description. It was 3rd person view and it was rotor plane not fighter jet as Top Gun and every level had it's color of the skies. That's all I remember.

i had to look this game up to check it out. Never played or even heard of that one. I think Afterburner was probably the only game of this type i ever really got into back then.

Afterburner was rubbish on all conversions from the coin-op except for the Sharp X68000 (The clue is in the name...Motorola...The most important CPU ever).

The Coin-op was awesome for its day especially the Hydraulics and the cool £1 per go which lasted a couple of mins hehe.

Still better value for money than Dragons Lair:)

Can I have a go in this? Oh well can't hurt. I'm looking for a shoot-em-up NES game where you play as a car from a top-down perspective. It play like a plane shoot-em-up just with a car. 20 year it has been bugging me so if you know the name do please tell me!

Would love NES now! Connect it to my TV and have a good old blast! Played Contra on emulator a while back, had more fun than most of today's games!

I run an emulator for NES/SNES on my TV (with added scanlines effect) with the wireless Xbox controller and it is great fun! Also if you get a second hand DS (got mine for 40 euro + 10 euro for R4 card) there is a perfectly working emulator for NES, plus somewhat the original Dpad and A+B buttons:)

Arcade version of every conversion was often better back then.

Just watched some gameplay in youtube and it is not that. Thanks for trying though. As I sad it plays like a classic plane shoot-em-up with stages, bosses, weapon upgrades and so on. One day I'll will fing you! *shakes_fist_@_sky*

How about Super Spy Hunter? Which i think was the sequal to Spy Hunter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2w8X2m_Yz7I
I don't think there were too many others for NES that were like what you are talking about unless you get into Boats, tanks or helicopters.
RoadBlasters comes to mind but it wasn't top down. There is Bump n Jump but i don't remember shooting in it.

If that's not it, it'll probably bug me for a while so just tell me that's it.:eyes:
