I would say the fastest is the one that uses the fastest connection.

As for best, every user appreciates some feature more than others. So the best is the that has exactly the features you want.

    Pointless thread...

well said, every client offers something special. Its up to u to decide what u want. I use bitcomet - I know its not the best but I like it.

its not the software (client?) its self it is how many other people have got it running and the connection to the internet and how many people are running it (peers)
so the best one is the mostly widely used and safest

Files are shared cross clients, the client has nothing to do with it. It's the Tracker info in the BT file that the client use. Clients like Bitcomet also has DHT Network (trackerless torrent) which can be used as backup in case of the Tracker going down.

So yes the best is the one you like the best (with a few minor details).

I´m using the new Bittorrent, it´s a lot better than the old versions. If you tried it before and uninstalled it, try the latest version, it might suprise you as much as it did to me :)

uTorrent hands down. i've used Azureus.... too resource happy for me, and requires Java to run. i've used ABC Bittorrent.... just didn't like it. i've used..... quite a few torrent apps.... uTorrent is just awesome to me. plus it's small (used to be under 100k, a hair bigger than that now though. still under 200k)

utorrent without a doubt. Azureas is too system resource intensive and buggy. Bitcomet, I not really please with its ability to maximize my connection. By the way can someone give a bit of advice? I'm moving a torrent download to another drive, i want to know :can i resume the download ?

errrr... i actually tried it once. if u transfer everything u've downloaded so far onto another drive, and then start the torrent all over again and tell it to save in that same destination where u've just transferred the files to, u should b able to resume.

I prefer utorrent. I've used many and utorrent does what I like and seems to find the most seeders

You guys have convinced me. I tried uTorrent and I liked it a lot, so I uninstalled Bittorrent :D. Where BT was using 40Mb RAM, uTorrent uses only 10Mb and it´s downloading a lot faster!

They don´t, but the nForce chipset drivers (which include the integrated network controller) include the Nvidia firewall, a program that is pure crap. Leave the firewall for the specialists :), remove it and install a different one like Comodo or Sygate.

^^^ what he said. uninstall the NVidia firewall (which i believe during the setup process is called the NVidia Network Access Manager or somethin like that....)

only thing i hate about not being able to use the NVidia network access manager.... is that i don't get to use any of the neat little features of the NForce 570/590 chipset.... like FirstPacket and stuff like that.....
