    - BF4 is finally playable in DX via ie11, using 14.4 RC1
    - I'm amazed..!!

    - makes me a bit reluctant to go messing with this WHQL version.. :)

I'm downloading it jut because CCC is newer and mine is not very good (slow to load).

    Let's test it!

So does this mean that DirectX improvements in AMD drivers are basically a thing of the past? Are we only going to see Mantle improvements anymore?

Besides BF4 and StarSwarm, 99% of the rest of the games out there use DirectX. So it's a bit annoying that the DX module doesn't seem to be getting anymore improvements (if I'm understanding correctly, which I may not be).

That's great, I can also confirm that Dark Souls looks awesome with these RC1 drivers. :)

Instant BSOD on windows 8.1 after installing the latest driver, back to RC1.

Anyone mining with these, the last few driver updates killed my hashrate by 300 KH/s each on my 290x's.

    No problem here.
Just as a tip, you might need to add "--no-adl" with these. (and manually set fan speed)

    I'm getting 875Kh/s per card

Funny thing, AMD killed the Fan Tachimeter monitoring since the start of 14.X brand.

Yeah, at least with GPU-Z is impossible to check but I think I once heard this was because of some sort of change in the way that value is reported.

Other sysinfo applications such as HWMonitor seems to show the fan r.p.m. without any problems.

Maybe we should wait until a newer version of GPU-Z shows up.

Same thing since 1st 14.x driver. Can i get an updated driver without this mantle crap in it i don't use? Flickering black textures in my older games i have no trouble with 13.12 whql. I keep having to go back to 13.12. I'll give this one more try with next months driver, I already submitted the games i have black textures all over the place since february. If they can't get it right by next month there is no need for me to suffer anymore when there is nvidia as an option.

I just would like to have it on MSi Afterburner... I use it because I adjust the fan based on the RPMs. Until 2.200rpm there is almost no noise.

At least I made the courve with the 13.12's and it's working fine.

Maybe Afterburner devs should check the new value reporting paramenters?

Sorry to see that on some configurations these problem still exists but try upgrading (if you are not already) to the latest chrome beta version with pepper flash and see if it works. This problem disappeared for me after some chrome updates.
As for the people asking if it worth upgrading from the 14.4 RC1, after I tested some games I see that performance is the same (very good although) so I say to wait for the next beta.

Anyone else here with display connected via hdmi? Does it work for you? To me issue from RC remains, display is undetected/not installed if connected via hdmi.
