I friend of mine had an experience tonight... Everyone is gone in her house,they went to visit her brother i guess from what she said and she just happend to look upstairs and THE TV WAS ON IN HER FATHERS ROOM! (They arent even home) -- No sound just a picture with a black box down the middle she said.... (You could only see the edges) She turned it off then back on AND THEN THE SOUND CAME BACK..... (No black box) Can these display devices be turned on remotely?? (If there IS a camera/microphone in them i reckon they may be able to (THEY PUT A BLACK BOX TO COVER THE PICTURE AND DISABLE THE SOUND SO NO ONE NOTICES ITS ON LOOKING AT YOU)) She was a little concerned (Understandable),i told her to unplug it from the wall..
In the world of covert and low level surveillance, you would be amazed at what can be operated remotely. You would also be amazed at what is legal as well (in the UK), physically attaching a tracking device to a vehicle is completely legal as is videoing/photographing anybody in a public area. Micro USB devices can be attached to PC’s in the workplace and record (direct/IP/wirelessly) not only every key pressed, but also every image on screen (and yes it legal with company consent). I scared a potential client recently who only gave me his name and rough area he lived in the UK, within 3 minutes I gave him his address and phone number, when he moved into his house and how much he paid for it, his neighbours names and their telephone numbers and how much they paid for their houses as well. A social media search gave me intricate details of his personal and social life, it more importantly gave me several pictures of him including one stood outside his company HQ. From that I gave the details of his company including staff numbers, names (linked from social media), annual profits and his PA’s personal details. All legal and all in under 3 minutes. haven't you heard the latest news? scientists discovered that some people prefer oranges to apples! there are people like you who live life to the full, while g3d users like "Parabola" prefers to spend his time infront of a computer, also you'll find people who don't care if holy books like the Bible are not the word of God, as long as it feels good and sounds good to them, they'll believe and they'll preach it. aren't we all seeking happiness each in our own way? it makes no difference if you're an active guy or a couch lover, social or loner, move out or live with parents.. it's called personal preference, people are absolutely free to decide what makes them happy. the fact you live life to the full is only relevant to you and to your happiness. people are not required to lead such life and their lives are not necessarily "sad" just because they don't, so don't judge them. no, but at least the tv detects the BONES hidden in the freezer by a woman who likes to have sex with skeletons.

I doubt the above statement is true. I merely mentioned that spending one’s life doing just one thing is a bit of a waste, the world and our time on it is an amazing thing, there are endless possibilities to be explored. Honestly answer me this, would you rather:- Compete in a Rally OR play DIRT Fight through an Insurgent ambush OR play BF3 Have a family OR play SIMS Break a world record OR play Daly Thompsons Decathlon Watch the world cup live OR Play FIFA Get jiggy with a lady mumma OR watch porn Now im not knocking people who love PCs, I have built many and spend a fair bit of time modding them, I have also spent an unreasonable amount of time learning just to get airborne in my A10C on DCS, however I would never spend “almost all of my time” doing so, I would be missing to much other stuff.
Not wanting to give away all the trade secrets but a suitably modified TV can transmit a video image 100m, forget taking out the plug as depending on battery size and whether time lapse/movement detection/sleep mode is used, your telly could still watch you for a weeks worth of unplugged time. Never watch porn with an unknown car parked within 100m
Off topic but isn't attaching a lump to someone's property a civil trespass and could attract a penalty under the tort of trespass to chattels?
Nope, attaching a tracking device to a car only becomes an offence if damage is caused during installation or removal. Google for the last time somebody was successfully convicted of trespass, it is a civil offence not a criminal offence and virtually impossible to prosecute. There is a set of rules called RIPA (Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000) but interestingly they only apply to Police and Govt bodies. If my client was say a Council then I have to abide by RIPA, if the client is private then I don’t, RIPA basically is more to do with HSE than anything else.
I know the ins and outs of what you are talking about. Torts are of course civil but I would have thought it quite easy to prove the trespass when the other party asks for your disclosure.
Are you talking about going onto somebody else’s land or simply placing a tracker on a vehicle? Personally I work within the law but I can assure you trying to prosecute somebody for trespass is incredibly expensive and doomed to failure, as Jeremy Clarkson found out.
