sli wasnt per say in its infancy. 2004-2005 was prime time for sli. the 9800gx-2 launched back in 2008.
yeah your right early 2008. how was 2004-2005 prime time for sli though? was thinking of the 7950gx2 by mistake or whatever its called
Not long now.....i had to go out for a few beers tonight to forget about this card...well i woulda went out anyhow, card was just an excuse
Obviously Nvidia does not expect huge orders for the GTX690 compare to something like the 680 and 580 where they make the bulk of their profits. This is all about bragging rights by having the most powerful single card solution on the market.
I totally agree. Never had any problems myself either and I've run various SLi set ups for a number of years now whether two cards or a single SLi card.
Cant wait for the review on this card. But tbh, I'm more interested in seeing the review for the 690 classified. Hopefully Hilbert is able to get one whenever EVGA releases it.
Yep, thats the way I see it too. Except 680 or 580 wont make the bulk of their profits, but rather the mid and lower range cards.
