I'm up to 87.5% even after leaving it on all night. 2 days, 8hrs elapsed. At least once it's done, it's done. I just fear it will stop at 99%, then they're be a lot of foul language.

I started to download tubgirls 10.8 AMD final iso last night, already at 67%. So should be done and burned by tommarrow hopefully.

W00t! Done. That only took... five days. Well not strait but it still took a darn long time. Just finishing burning the ISO, then I've got to transfer some files of my 40 gig. Then I'll install OSx86. I'll let you guys know about my progress.

I'm installing OSX now on my 40gb. Everything, surprisingly, is going smoothly. Not even any problems with my PS/2 mouse and keyboard.
The 939Dual-SATA2 really is the most versatile mobo ever made.

Ha! It's done downloading on my end, but I have no blank DVDs to burn it on. I guess I'll have to do a Vm ware method. D:

I can get it to install, now I just can't get it to boot. I'll have to sit with it for a while to see why it won't.

FWIW, I got it working. No sound, no LAN as was mentioned on the OSx86 wiki. HDD access time seems a little on the slow side to me too. Unfortunately, this is not going to replace Windows XP.

Here's a lovely photo of my desktop running OS X 10.4.8 with OSx86 next to my iBook running OS X 10.4.8 natively.

    So here's the breakdown

    What Works
    -PATA HDD and optical drives
    -Graphics
    -USB
    -Athlon64 X2 3800+ Manchester
    -ULi chipsets
    -OSX's features

    What Doesn't Work
-Graphics stuck in 2D, limited to 1024x768
    -No LAN
    -No audio
    -No SATA

Now, apparently, addon LAN cards work. So if USB works, a wireless LAN USB key might get me on the network.

    EDIT: Dual boot is working.

Nice to see it going finally:)

Rez, you could try and force it....
    Terminal
    'sudo -s' and 'cd /library/preferences/systemconfiguration'
Now type 'pico com.apple.boot.plist and in this file add after other options '<key>graphicsmode</key>' followed by '<string>1440x900x32@60</string>' the rez i typed in must obviously be replaced by the rez you want instead. If you want to find out what is supported then at bootup type '?video'. (this was what i found in some guides) hope it helps.:)

LAN- While i was looking at the forums a solution came up that seems to work for most people. heres a link just scroll down a bit and there is a link to the IONetworkingfamily.kext that you need to download and there are instructions on what to do with it. :)

As for audio, your card wont work, but if you read through the wiki then it is possible to just use onboard sound without any hassle. SATA
    Is NForce chipset SATA supported?

Yes, up to nForce3 is supported. Editing AppleVIAATA kext with your nForce device ID's will enable SATA. Search forum for more info. PATA and SATA controllers are now supported on nForce4 chipsets. See this thread on the forum: link

Since you are more familiar with how OSx works all this may be easier for you to do. Hope it helps:)

Yep, I've pwned the Linux people. The sound is not a problem but if I could just get the LAN working, I'd be laughing. Tigerdirect has a WiFi USB key on sale for $12. The question is, will it recognize it as an Airport adapter.

I'm on the hunt for nVidia drivers, then I'll get NeoOffice up and running. I found some drivers that support NV50, which is presume means the G70 series since GF6 was NV40.

I found some nVidia drivers but they crashed the OS. I'll have to reinstall it. :frown:

Actually, I think I'm going to try Linux next.

Here is a question for you... What if It came on a machine? (my intel imac) or a retail copy of 10.4x for PPC?
