Asian site Chiphell is now hosting a couple of photo's showing a graphics card what seems to be the Geforce GTX 680. Based on the looks of it the card is a dual-slot design has a black PCB two stacked... More...
you put two s's on graphics The GTX 680 is equipped with one GK104 28 nm GPU has a 256-bit memory interface, 2 GB of GDDR5 graphicss memory.
Yes! If Arctic can't pull it off i gotta wait for a Custom Design from Gainward, Gigabyte or Asus....perhaps MSI, but i think the TwinFrozr is noisy.
It looks like the power plugs could be semi modular. Instead of stacked 6 pins AIBs could also do 6 + 6 side by side or 8 + 6 side by side. Also a 6 pin on the side and 8 pin at the back (I believe there was a picture of that floating around somewhere) or even stacked 8 pins. I bet we'll see different configurations based on the intent of the card. Also the possibility that they designed one PCB for a multitude of cards as a cost saving measure. That's what I think anyway.
I have a reverse ATX case with the PSU on the bottom, which means the inset power connector would be on the top -- the wrong way around. This stacked connectors setup sucks as there are big ass noise filters on my cables right where they would have to bend over eachother and there isn't much clearance to the side panel as it is.
