    Me too =)
The freezing issue does not occur that often so I will stick with these for a while.

Hmm, haven't seen this with Chrome (stable) and Windows 8.1 on either my single-gpu desktop or dual-graphics laptop.

I cant seem to install these, my screen goes blank on install and stays that way, I have tried with crossfire enabled as well as completely disabled. I even took a card completely out of the PC and still no joy.

I either get blank screen or freezes my PC while installing the graphics driver.

Had a lot of trouble getting 13.10 v2 installed too but managed to do that one by going through device manager and updating the driver.

This one when i tried that again that froze my pc and of course failed to work.

    Using 7970 ghz x2 btw

Try using DDU to clean up first, then install?
I don't think that HD4200 still supported in newest driver...

    Try this?

Telling everyone to avoid an entire operating system because you have a specific issue with it?

Edit: Oops, wrong context as pointed out below :p

    I haven't had any freezes under 8.1...

Best to try the driver for yourself.

Your sentiments stand, and I agree with them.

However, I believe he was referring to the beta catalyst drivers, and not the operating system.

Just another confirmation that in Windows 8.1 these drivers occasionally will not wake the monitor. I had to disconnect and reconnect the cable to get it working again.

I had this happen once in 8.1 yesterday. But the rest of the time I was using these drivers, I didn't experience this issue.

Seems "rare", at least in my experience. Used to have them a lot back when I overrided my monitor's refresh rate.

this driver gave me a weird issue.

I have three displays connected, one, main via DP, one via DVI and one via VGA, the last one being a 37 inch samsung tv. the thing is, the image on the tv is all yellowish with this driver. got no idea how to change that. any ideas?

Does the driver enables DX11.2? I use a HD 8750m with GCN cores but on DXDIAG it just shows up to DX11.1

I have an HP dv6-6198sp with AMD 6770M 2GB and Windows 8.1 64bits. The drivers I got from HP doesn't work pretty well. My explorer.exe is crashing all the time and its some .dll's related to AMD fault. Can anyone tell me if u guys, with the same graphics, have this problem too? I don't know if this happens when the AMD graphics is on but happens a lot when Intel graphics is on (I use Fixed Mode).
    Thank You!!
