I have no idea what your talking about, VLC works fine here and has been working fine with all the new drivers I have tested. Your problem with vlc is probably your system. Run a virus scan and a spyware scan. Spyware can make a huge mess of a pc but for the gfx drivers to be the problem that is not the cause of your vlc issues my friend. Also why do you guys always post about downloading drivers? Just post whenever you have tested them, we don't really need to be updated to your downloading activities. these threads would be much smaller if you guys would stop posting that your downloading drivers and just post your thoughts on them whenever you get them installed. Don't you think that would make the threads smaller and easier for users to read through instead of having to read through 25 posts of "downloading now" ???? Seriously guys enough with those nerdy banana emoticons too my god lol

Just remember if the driver isn't on Nvidia's website it usually means its leaked. So really All those drivers you've tried you don't even need to worry about as Nvidia never really inteded for you to use them.

Downloading will test them later on.

And people please stop asking if physx is enabled with every driver.
It doesn't get activated with a forceware driver.

The moment you see that a new physx driver has been released you can assume it will have physx activated with the 8series cards.

it does..., my 9600gt has physx with 175.xx drivers, but no physx with 177.xx.
    and 8800gts alrdy have physx w 177.xx ;)
at least theorically the nvidia physx control panel says that i've got physx, i dont have anything to test it (no vantage, nor ut3)

Wow just came online and found these drivers. Very nice :) Noticed the WHQL Candidate on Nvidia.com is only 55MB. Just about to install so I'll post back with some benchmarks and let you guys know how this works on an 8600GT.

i thought might happen you get 1 or 2 guys that act like kids . I was just making a statement that it would be easier for users to read through a thread without having 25 posts of "downloading now" . but you always get the idiots like you that have to make some stupid nerdy kiddish posts. Dude I'm fine, not sure what your stupid breath in breath out comments help when all I was doing was stating a fact and just trying to be helpful. Anyway back on topic these drivers seem to be the same as the 177.73 , for me anyway. Thanks guys for all your helpful posts on all these new drivers, it's very much appreciated.
