Sorry but only 100mhz extra will never make such a big difference 10fps or even 15fps by low.
Its mostly because of extra threads, Cryengine is highly threaded, can use 8threads np,anything higher...

Yes 1680x1050 is low, but 1080p is already crippling AMD 7970 Ghz edition in something like Crysis3 @ High.

btw I didnt show this bench for Haswell, look at 3770k and 3750K in there.:nerd:

I think it stores whole level shadow map and anything shadow related pre-calculated in vram instead of doing few bits on the fly..
