that's correct. set windows to 5.1, 24bit 48Khz and forget about it (if you have any hd audio content, use wasapi exclusive to bitstream it) - windows is where all games check when they configure...

if memory serves the internal precision of the XFi Ti HD was upgraded to 32bit FP, it's the final output that's mastered at 24bit.
the HD's the only XFi with this though, the rest are 24bit...
