help with overclock

hey guys i am trying to overclock my cpu i have a 2.4c800fsb and p4p800dx you can see all the stuff in the box well i had it running at 3ghz and about an hour after it just rebooted and it keeps doing that just wanted to no why do you think it is doing that the
mem timings are 2,3,3,6 and the vcore 1.65 also i had to set the memory to 320mgz then set the fsb to 250 so the memory would be running at 400mgz that is the only way i cound do it the memory didnt want to go over 400mgz

i think u might have to up ur vcore a little more, if u keep getting random reboots, or u may try loosening ur ram timings.

You could set a CPU : DRAM divider to 5:4.

Computers become unstable when you OC it to much. going from a 2.4 to a 3.0 can make you crash if you cant keep it cool. I took my 2.4 p4 to a 2.7 and it works fine. You really dont notice a difference from a 2.7 to a 3.0.
