    So here's the low down:

I have a Bolex M8 projector and a Sony Handycam HDR-CX190 and what I'm trying to do is record a bunch of home movies we have. The problem is we're getting a lot of flickering during recording. I've tried every setting with the Handycam and framerate setting on the projector, and nothing is really clearing it up.

I've done some research into the problem and all I can find is that we need "really expensive equipment", but there must be some other way.

We were using a Keystone projector that didn't give us any issues with flickering, but that stopped working and we picked up an M8.

I did a 8mm transfer some years ago. Had the same issue. I believe I fixed it with the settings camera. I think I used fluorescent light mode but can't remember for sure.
