Many people are already asking this question due to the new release of the Nvidia Titan GPU.

What would you choose out of 7970s in CFX...670's/680's in Sli, 690 or a Titan?

All 5 configurations have there strengths and weaknesses regarding performance and pricing.

Feel free to add choices for other AMD/ATI GPU's also.

Give reasons for your choice and why.....

I'm going for Palit GTX 670 Jetstream cause it almost has the same performance as a GTX680.

Ofcourse in SLi mode, second card i will buy next week.

Also, i had trouble with Crossfire in the past (5770x2 and 6870x2).
Some games didn't supprted it, and when i went SLi every game worked like a charm with it.

Well I'll go for 2x7970's as that is what I have atm. Although they are both vanilla 7970's (not GHz Ed) they overclock well. I've only had the chance to play with a few benches so far but crossfire scaling looks good and the 3GB of Memory allows for plenty of eye candy.

I'd get two 680 DCII's two vrs and say TITAN who?

CF 7980's were a pita for me so never again for cf but one is nice thuo.

best bang per buck??/... oc'ed 670's and be happy you have 690 performance to run your games at high fps

Titan is only really worth it for the non gaming things you do with a gpu.

I'd save money and opt for crossfire 7950's. Great scaling and brilliant OC potential.

Looking in the back mirror, i would probably have gone with 670 sli, as in denmark, the 670 cards are ALOT cheaper than 680, and performance wise are only like 5% below..

Reason i went with reference 680 cards, is that my 295 quad sli setup had died a month before the release of 680... so when it came, i couldnt be bothered to wait a month for 2 for custom versions, which i ofc should have done.

    1 - Titan
    2 - x2 680s
    3 - 690
    4 - x2 670s

I'd choose the titan cause it's a single setup, however the pricing is insulting imo.
they should have released it cheaper and brought the other prices down in-line too.
i choose x2 680s before the 690 due to the wide range of cards to choose from.

I would love to get GTX Titan in SLi, but the re-sale value of my GTX 670s won't even cover the expenses for one Titan card.
In Denmark they retail for 7599 Danish Kroner / USD $1360.

So Titan will only be in my dreams.

Today if I could buy new cards without money limitations I would go after

    1) 2x Titan
    2) 3x GTX 680's
    3) 2x GTX 690's
    4) 3x GTX 670's

Currently I'm planning to change to 2nd hand GTX 680 4GB SLi cards instead of GTX 670 2GB 3-way SLi.

ATI (single-gpu) user before, now using 2x GTX 670.

If I had to choose, I would most likely go for the Titan. 6 GB of ram is nice with all the texture loading ;)
But will have to wait for tomorrow to see actual benchmarks and will still need to wait for actual prices. It's known to be expensive, but it will be faster than 2x680 (so it is said) and has 6GB on single gpu. So also no SLI/CFX issues which many complain about with new game releases.

While i believe that 2x GTX 680 is the most powerful setup you can currently buy, but i personally won't get it because i believe that is overkill.
I play at 1920x1080.. and this card is more than enough for me. If i ever go higher.. i'll just add another one of these cards and run in SLI. :)

i think anybody that already has an existing card like a 7970/670/680 etc would be better off just dropping another card in as long as there psu can handle it.

This will save money and give you the best performance bang per buck.
    Also depending on your resolution.

So guys do you think if i add another 670 my PSU will handle it? I think it would coz Enmity has 2x 7970 running on a corsair HX850 so i don't think my PSU will have trouble but i just want to confirm..

PSU will be fine, I have a 850W PSU, with my 680GTX Sli. No problems at all.

Shouldn't break a sweat...for reference I have an 850w as well, it's about 5 years old, and it's powered overclocked gpu's and fairly highly clocked cpu's, and now this 570 SLI setup, with no problems whatsoever. It's early here, haven't had my coffee yet, but I'm sure my 570's draw a decent amount more than a pair of 670's would.

I'd do it in a heartbeat if you think you need the GPU power and can afford it! :coffee:

tbh i'm in a bit of a dilemma.

7950's xfire or 660 ti's in sli? or just wait for next gen of gpu's. reason being i wouldnt mind upgradging the 580...suppose i could whack another in.

actually am leaning toward 660 ti sli atm. £50 cheaper here in the uk and i dont see the difference in fps being more than say 10-15fps....(would cost me around £400 if can sell my 580).

Where do you buy your hardware for 660ti's to be £50 cheaper than 7950's? They're in the same price bracket. You can pick up 7950's for £210-220 if you shop around. The difference in FPS is also a fair bit higher when you've OC'd both products, not to mention higher resolutions/multi monitor setups being more friendly to 7950's.
