Nice. Hopefully with the better cooling and power delivery, this card should overclock really well.

Testing a custom 290X? It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it, Hilbert. :p

    Can't wait for the review.

..Any word on Sapphire review samples by the way? Such as the Flexx/Vapor-X/Toxic?

im wanting to see if a 3rd party PCB / Cooler will be enough to tame this GPU. Would be awesome to see a lower average temp without compromising on performance! :D

I will end up with one of these... Cannot wait to get back to playn games on the 290x... Running bf4 with a 6950 and 1440p isnt as much fun... Medium settings im still get ~60fps.. so its ok i guess.

Anyways, Im really dissapoint that the card is 8+6.. Its a DCII should be 8+8.. Oh well.. That lightning with 886 im still tempted to try one out... I said id never, but i might go back on my previous statement.

It's hardly enough to max out the temp. Also if Hilbert runs it in open air case....
