Wow, will give these a shot, could be useful for Stereo 3D (extra performance).

Well these are terrible drivers. Let me rehash what has happened so far with my GTX 580 SLI

Around %50 mark get a BSOD. Reset computer and does "NO BOOT DRIVE" message. So go into bios and drive is missing. Reset computer boots into windows fine. Try to reinstall driver again, this time monitor just goes dark at around %75 and does nothing for around 5min mark. Reset computer, go back into windows and "old" drivers are back.

So i think we are back in the 90s and uninstall old drivers first, try to install these..i get message "No compatible driver found" message. No **** nvidia? Install old drivers back and everything is normal.

    wtg nvidia. fail again.

Works like a charm here. Clean install, rebooted and everything is fine.

Alan Wake FPS is up and Cleartype AA seems a lot crisper although core temps up 2 degrees, but nothing to worry about.

Yeah, im not surprised at all why nvidia's driver team takes so long to make new drivers. Many of those reported errors are user errors and it takes nvidia's driver team so much time to check them out.

Agreed with others, your machine looks to have a faulty drive or maybe a power problem.

I guess the description of "Newbie" under your name is appropriate for you in this case.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the drivers or the installer. I'd say you have a system issue that you need to sort out. So rather than presumptuously slagging off at nVidia, how about finding out whats in your system that's causing this issue through a process of elimination. Graphics card drivers don't cause your Windows hard drive to not show up in your BIOS so you have an issue either with your motherboard or it's BIOS or the hard drive itself. Also check your cabling.

I can guarantee if you installed these drivers on a freshly installed Windows, you would have no issues.

Well... I still have UT3 and Mass Effect 1 antialiasing issues with these (and no power saving when using 75Hz).

These actually include ME3 antialiasing flag so it work out of the box now. However, the performance is beyond horrible. 3x slower than ME1&ME2 antialiasing flag in 285.79 drivers.

Driver FXAA is really nice, though. Shame that it does not show up in screenshots.
