I just gave this a spin on the steam deck and it is running great now, and the bug that stopped you being able to move about the map via your pipboy has been fixed, very happy.
I'm using 3 Samsung 980 M.2 SSD drives 13700KF CPU 4080 GPU 32GB DDR5 Thanks a bunch! Needed something like this.
The "Next Gen" update is what made the game slow load for me, using the load accelerator mod didn't fix it like it did in the past... reverting to the previous update fixed the issue.
Cool, its likely you have no hardware issues but just in case, what speed/timings is your ram set to? Only looking at this with a view, if problems persist it might give an avenue to look down.
how did you revert? i see there is a "mod reverter" on nexus but it requires you to give your steam login and password. No way in hell am I doing that. Is there another way?
Thats easily good enough, nothing that would cause a problem. Go with @AsiJu advice, I will too when I start playing again.
I don't get crashes on my 4070, however it disables weapon debris for me, its not giving me the rubble.
IIRC, the weapon debris option simply adds bullet shells that are ejected from your weapon and bounce off the ground. But that's pretty much it. Nothing more. Unless I'm not remembering correctly (it's been like 4 years since I last played it.)

Update Versions Xbox Series S|X: 1.10.765 PlayStation 5: 1.10.985 PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One: 1.10.984 Patch Highlights Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 Display Settings Thanks to your feedback, we’ve been able to implement the ability to control your graphic fidelity and performance. We highly recommend you run with the default settings but now you can change your options to better fit your playstyle and display. Frame Rate Target Frame Rate Target allows you to choose between 30, 40, and 60 (default). It is important to note that to select 40, your display must be able to support 120hz. Visual and Performance Prioritization You can now choose between Visuals and Performance (default) while trying to maintain frame rate target. If you choose Frame Rate Target of 60, we recommend selecting Performance. Both modes may adjust internal resolution dynamically when scenes or action get heavier. Please note both modes can only be changed from the main menu. Bug Fixes • General stability improvements • Fixed visual issue with certain image spaces • Auto HDR is re-enabled (Xbox Series S|X) • Fixed issue where reserved space was not displayed correctly in load order menu (Xbox Series S|X) • Fixed issue with character name field when in widescreen mode. (PC) • Fixed an issue that occasionally caused bundles to not fully download and could cause a crash • Fixed an issue with material swaps • Fixed an issue with load order that would break DLC until a restart after downloading mods (PlayStation 5) • Fixed an issue that would occasionally cause a crash if you returned to the Main Menu with queued mods still downloading (PlayStation 5) • Fixed an issue that could cause the Creation Club menu to not appear (Microsoft Store) • Fixed a crash that could occur when connecting to the network after a suspend/resume with the network disabled (Xbox One) Good to see a lot is fixed for PC FFS!
Is it possible for one of you who has updated to the new version to give me a copy of the updated appmanifest file please? It will be located inside Steam\steamapps It is appmanifest_377160.acf It should be about 2kb *edit* Actually, this can be opened as a text document, could you just copy the contents and send it to me as a note please? I just want to figure out the difference between my now old appmanifest file and the updated appmanifest file to spoof steam into not updating after going through the process of downgrading to a previous version of the game.
Not surprised. This "Next Gen" update was primarily for the consoles, they added some extra content and a few little bits so PC wouldn't be left out. PC was never a big focus for this to begin with.
I figured it out~! Searched steamdb website for fallout 4 update history and looked at what was changed, just two things... changed the red numbers in appmanifest_377160.acf file to the green numbers, set it back to read only and done~ no more stupid forced update.
