High price increase on nvme and ssd drives coming soon. If you need storage buy it right now

Yes sadly the 4TB has risen considerably , i was looking for samsung 990Pro 4TB and it went from $289 to $350US Dollars on a blink of an eye.

At least i'm good to go as i bought a whole bunch of nvme's during the lowest prices time frame. 16TB of nvme goodness will last me for many years to come hopefully.

 

I picked up 2 4tb Nvme's from Newegg and 1 from Microcenter thanks to your post months back. It seems the best time to build was back in spring summer when prices fell and cards were plentiful at MSRP. That's how it was here in Michigan.

 

Even that I though back then @chispy posted the thread that I went overboard with the storage, now I am sorry that I didn't buy more.
Had 2x2aTB SSD on my shopping list, and I postponed.
Truth to be said, it turns out to be a 1 world problem, because back then I had more pressing and important priorities on my plate, so that's that.
Will buy what I would find and call it a day.

What??? You got a 4tb 990 Pro for $250?? You lucky Guru you. That's awesome. I ended up buying their in house brand called Inland. R/W - 6800/7200mbps and it automatically comes with a 5 year warranty.

I put it in my laptop. So far so good.

 

Looks like Samsung SSD prices are going down and back to reality. I see a deal for 990 Pro on amazon.de right now. They probably had trouble competing with countless offerings from other brands. Competition is great.

 

990 Pro 4tb and the SN850X 4tb are both $309.99 here in the US Amazon. (same as the oem websites and include their shipping) Glad I got my SN850X at $229. And I have 2 more payments on it to make. :3

 

yah that sale was amazing for 4tb well compared to SSD/NVME pricing anyway still expensive. by the time i saw it it was sold out or no longer $229 would bought one for upcoming pc build and ps5, then cried at the price quietly

 

I got it because I like WD NVMe drives, so why not

 

So, do you guy's recommend the Samsung 990 Pro 4TB? I know I should of gotten one when they were cheaper, but I had no use for one until now.

Currently, I own a 980 Pro 1TB which has been great, but the capacity just isn't cutting anymore as I find myself having to delete games to free up space.

 

Truth to be said, my storage needs increased lately, as my Proxmox servers host many VMs and LXC...well yesterday found myself deleting things.
That's a first for me, so that's that.

Well, I went out and bought a 2tb 990 pro with heatsink for 169$ for a movies drive. In like one week it shot back up to 199$.

Prices seem to be very unstable lately.

 

They are, I have a couple of Sabrent drives in various rigs and the prices of their 4TB is up and down like a yoyo.

 

I ended up getting a 2TB Western Digital SN850X for $145 USD. My current 1TB drive will be used for when I run out of space.
